This two archetypes are my current favorits as well. Thanks for the great match up explanations
I am glad you enjoyed the video!
@poisoncana what do you think about Putting maybe 2 3 Costa tadashi hamadas into the Deck for some ramp and and lore pressure? I dont understand the meta really well but i like the card
@ I like the card as well but I don’t think the deck wins with aggro pressure and it adds more uninkables which can be a problem when you’re using cards like sail to ramp. He’s too easily removed by steel and ruby and gaining 2 ink isn’t super valuable because we usually don’t have ink problems.
How do you deal vs Amber Amathyst Hyper Aggro? Played last Sunday with blurple and got obliterated after cut to top 8 by T1 Daisy, T2 Daisy and Lilo, T3 Tiana, T4 Baloo and that was GG. Wasn’t running Beffudle, but even with that card, seems like a really hard matchup. Also lost vs Kiwi Birds just for 1 Lore, and lost vs Emerald Steel Discard. Won everything else.
I think any hyper aggro deck is going to be a struggle if you don’t go first. Your best bet is to hope for befuddle and try to ramp in to big Elsa on curve. If you’re expecting a lot of hyper aggro I’d probably increase befuddles honestly.
As a Blurple player, how do you play against the diggity dig hole deck?
@@xannabie2469 it’s the same strategy as any aggro deck. Try to build your board with multiple characters so you have targets for fox and crab to take out their questing threats. Bouncing Fifth Spirit is also useful to keep exerting their stuff. They will eventually run out of resources if you keep grinding them down and your board gets wide enough that you can start questing while controlling their board.
Going in blind do you ever keep befuddle in hand?
@ I think it’s worth keeping most of the time in a blind match up. It’s either going to be good in to the match up or it’s going to be bad in to the match up so you can ink it, you don’t want to draw it later if it’s not helpful. The exception to this is that getting your ramp is probably more important so if I’m on the play I might put it back if I need to mull 6 or 7 to get a 1 drop char and a ramp.
@ cool thanks. I’m reconsidering it since most lists don’t run it - but 2 copies of could be slotted in
@@MaximeChamberland with so many people playing steel it’s killer against Smee and Calhoun. I think it’s worth it
Great Deck<3 You did some adjustments to the decklist lately, or?
@@naohiro79 yes I updated the deck list slightly after seeing the North American Continental Winners deck.

I played this deck list at my in store competition yesterday. It was a lot of fun. I fell in the middle of the pack out of 32 players. But I didnt loose all my rounds. Great deck list!
I am glad you enjoyed it!
Ouch, on the Steel Song player, bricked with them Cindys. (smh, that's why I don't play with 'em no more.)
Cindy is good until she isn’t.
Could you post an analysis guide and more game play?

@@collinmasters680 good luck!

@ I went 2-3 but realized I needed to prioritize card draw way more! I got stalled out twice top decking
testing this out right now and its fun. great vids man keep it up
Thanks I am glad you’re enjoying them!
I’ve been crushing with this list .
@@hollatafool awesome! Glad to hear it!
I am playing a similar version but emerald instead of amethyst. I like to see that you minimize the use of cards that lose you tempo like mims. I play way fewer vanilla locations since they will make you lose at some point in the swiss when loosing the dice, and are weak against ruby and amethyst. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah there’s always a trade off for the color you decide to build with. I played amber steel locations before and it had really great aggro but basically needed doc as the only method for card draw. Amethyst gets access to the good 1 drops and more card draw, but its good locations like library and castle are really expensive. I do like the potential of emerald/steel location deck, that does sound fun.
Could you post your deck list I’d love to see it!
@@techkeepup7207 I will post it on my blog at the end of the championships. Good luck!
How good is againist AmberSteel Hyper Aggro?
I haven’t played that match up very much to give an indepth analysis but in the games I did play it’s competitive. It’s important to fight for board before setting up locations using cards like Smee and Calhoun and Pete. Smash and Fire the Cannons is also good. If you can get a John Silver on the board and powered up it can be hard for them to remove.
I love the breakdown of interactions and lines in your explanation.
@@DylanCyr thank you for the feedback, I am glad you enjoyed it!
what do you think about a deck with more locations, without the bounce package. and the 1 cost purple cards. instead the captain hook 1c and happy
I don't know if I should play locations or hyper aggro for the championships
I think you could probably cut the bounce cards if needed but they do give some versatility in this deck. I like the 1-cost purple cards because they replace themselves. I thought about putting Happy for the mine but I think the card draw is huge. Definitely still viable with happy and hook but sounds similar to the Amber Steel Mine list.
I think both could be good, it depends what you’re more comfortable playing. Whatever deck you can pilot better is always a better choice for a tournament in my opinion.
Best video I’ve seen breaking down different combos and opening plans. Thank you!!
@@Holthane thank you so much for the feedback!
@ yessir. It’s hard to find deck analysis videos this in depth. I just got into Lorcana and my 10 year old daughter plays and we are studying the deck building. She’s obsessed with deck building and testing different strategies which warms my heart since I used to play yugioh like back in 2002 lol. It’s nice to see that there is a TCG with actual good mechanics and that you can play casually with your kids or friends OR go hardcore and play in tournaments. Thanks for the videos man. Would love to see a Steelsong deck analysis and gameplay at some point.
15:52 genie is removed. How?
It was bounced back to my hand by Emerald Chromicon when I banished his character.

Really enjoyed this Deck Profile. Both in Presentation and content. Really well done. You've got a new follower.
Thank you so much for the feedback and the follow!
Did you consider Belle when building this deck?
Yes I think she is a great card but in order to fit the Moana package I don’t think there is room for her unless we cut some Elsa - Fifth Spirit.
@ and that would be blasphemy
@@hollatafool yeah Elsa is GOATed in this meta
Nice content style very clean and informative!
Thanks I am glad you liked the format!
@@poisoncanabeautifully done, and easy to digest
Thank you for the feedback. It is very helpful!
Good to see a new purple/red list. I will definitely give it a try. Are you missing Maui in this list? Or is there still enough challenging power even without him?
I think Maui is still good but he was the most cuttable card for this list. There’s so many evasive characters in the meta that I don’t think he is as effective as he was before, atleast without fish hook.
Nice looking deck!
Thank you :)
Hey! Incredible deck! I just don’t own any hades. Could great stone or belle (ink) be a good replacement?
I think you could use Let It Go in place of Hades
quite.
Definitely Canadian

@@poisoncana hell yeah
Would you try to make a budget version of this? Trying to get into burple but the inial cost is rough.
all meta are expensives :(
Still like draw power of rabbit
Yeah I think you could play 4 genie 2 rabbit and it would feel good
@@poisoncana ive tested 3 genie 3 rabbits
I run 3x Belle Accomplished Mystic in My build, they have been very helpful, I don't like Hades personally and she's basically My replacement
@@ShaunReeser-d5e I like this idea, I think that Belle is a good card and could easily replace Baymax or Hades
@poisoncana I ran 2 baymax at a 2k event recently and he was underwhelming, I cut him entirely from the deck.
I have been testing a similar deck but run 3 of the new Yzma and have been getting alot of value out of it. Is that something you have tested? Curious to hear your thoughts
@@schmitty1997 I haven’t tested with yzma but I can see her being a good option. Of course I always worry that a card like that gets removed before you can use her ability.
@@poisoncana I run it in tandem with 2 of the 8 drop Mufasa. Seems to be good late game where you can empty your hand, quest with Mufasa, ready your ink, use Yzmas ability, and flood the board. While it doesnt happen every game, it overwhelms the opponent and basically wins you the game
This is the best dark explanation I have ever seen What we’re looking for with mull and draws the Playthru‘s interactions this was phenomenal. I’ll have to check out more of your stuff but if you can explain more meta-decks I would highly appreciate that.
@@King_Of_Games thank you for the feedback. Stay tuned for my next video :)
Awesome video! How does this do into agro?
@@LorcanaLingo-lv4fx thank you. I think this deck does fine in to aggro. Fox and Elsa are natural aggro disrupters. I think that befuddle is also a great card in the aggro match up. You just have to focus on trading down characters and limiting their lore gain until you hit high ink and then our big characters like Hades and big Elsa can finish them off.
@@poisoncana thanks so much i have a kids tournament on Saturday and a 1k on Sunday so highly debating this deck. For the kids tournament i expect mostly agro rp and steel songs. And for the 1k i expect meta deck obv. Any tips you have for those mus?
@ for steel song I think it’s important to ramp and build a wide board so you can use crab and fox to kill their small stuff . Going first it’s a good match up that I think you will win going second it’s hard if they have the Cindy storm opening, but if they don’t have that it’s quite winnable. But once you ramp in to the small Elsa and have enough ink to play a couple bounce chars per turn you can turn the game around even if they have a good opening. Against RP the decks are very similar in game plan (get value using bounce package) except they have removal and we have ramp. So it’s important to ramp (ideally 2-3x) by turn 7 to get ahead on lore early so they’re forced in to using be prep which also wipes their board. And then to just keep pressuring. If you force them to always be trading in to you and using be preps they aren’t winning with lore so you eventually win, like what I did in this video. The game plan is pretty similar for most match ups. Against red blue it’s tough because they have a lot of removal and we don’t have a lot of 2quest aggro cards to try and push early so it’s important that you keep goats and rose and try to bounce them as much as possible to win once they’re fully ramped.
Hey!, I'm also a small creator, and I was wondering if you'd ever want to do a video together?
I've played a lot of Blurple lately, and I've been testing the 3 drop Wendy, using her to support Elsa is really efficient
@@kwasm2801 I like this idea
I like the list why did you choose not to run the shift Merlin?
@@PathtoGreatness-12 unfortunately I don’t think the shift Merlin is very good. Because he only gets his effect when shifted he’s not consistent enough. Although we do have a lot of shift targets it still relies on having the shift target when you need it. Also I think that the unshifted merlins (rabbit crab goat) are so good that id rather have them on the board anyway.
It is way too slow. But you could run a more aggressive ramp version, to make it work. Perhaps run tadasha in it.
@@RLA1983 I like Tadashi a lot, I am considering building an aggro deck with him in it.
If you only had 2 hades. Would you run 1 Let it go?
@@hollatafool I think Let it Go would be fine for a replacement although 2 Hades might still be enough, I haven’t tested with 2. I did test with 4 and found it was too many . You could also just add another Rabbit instead of the missing Hades if you find you would like more card draw.
Super vidéo ! Thank you for this ! 🥰
@@Zéphyrr2c thank you!
Great video ! Very good explanations and presentation of the deck synergies. If I could suggest one improvement regarding the gameplay part, it would be to give us informations on what are the cards you have in hand and why you play this card rather than this card. @@TM-cc3qd thank you so much. I am glad you like the format of the video!
Thank you great video. I’ll test that deck soon. Couldn’t Alice be useful in this deck?
@@Thejsmaster she is strong but I’m hesitant to run more uninkables. I don’t think we run too many characters that are high priority to give Ward. Baymax would be one though.
Great deck review. Could you make one for amethyst steel tinkerbell??
@@LuisFernandoAraiza I have been looking at a midrange deck with the evasive purple tinkerbell and shift in to giant fairy. Thanks for the idea!
Awesome breakdown 🤙🏽 really enjoyed the content
@@Chicanoheat thank you for the feedback!
That Baymax is awesome
Nice video! It would be interesting if you make another one explaining how to play blurple against each other meta deck. In general I can beat any deck except for steel song if they have a good start.
@@charlitohb thanks for watching! Yeah… I think all decks except red-blue struggle against steel song if they hit an ideal opening (like going 1st, turn 1 cindy with storm and curving to a quick AWNW). That is going to be hard to beat but the best advice would be to keep Diablo instead of chernabogs so you get value, befuddle is good here too. And try and ramp twice before they AWNW if possible. Turn 1 diablo, tipo/sail on 2 with befuddle, then turn 3 sail and crab or fox. Getting to 5 ink lets you play Elsa which can be quite good in that match up. I think if they don’t get their ideal opening or they aren’t on the play then the match up is quite winnable but you have to focus on board control and not on lore gain early on.
@poisoncana Thanks for your response man! Yeah I totally agree with you, we've to ramp quickly and try to leave more than one body in the field, I play Olaf over Diablo just for this match but even with Olaf is too hard because they spam a lot of characters early turns and is really difficult to control them. I also play Belle over Baymax to have more removal without challenging; would you consider playing Belle in your build or you prefer Baymax? Greetings from Spain! :)
@ thanks. I think Olaf is a good idea. I have considered playing Belle instead of Baymax. I think in some matchups Belle is better and in other matchups the Baymax might be better because of the instant lore gain when trying to close out a game.
@@poisoncana another card I consider is super good is Library, specially against red/purple and red/blue or to close games when you have board control. Also I've been testing a build with Tadashi instead of Donald and Finders keepers instead of Friends with good results! Definitely there are a lot of different tools for this deck
@@charlitohb yes there are a lot of interchangeable cards and tweaks you can make depending on your local meta!
Hi nice Deck, thank you for Sharing it. I wanna Test it so Bad. 😊 Im interested in how you would Mulligan with this Deck if you have the Ramp in your Hand and how you would without the Ramp in your Hand.
@@Alber0 the video does show with ramp in your hand. Without ramp you want to have 1-drops for your turn 1 and 2. Befuddle can be quite good to bounce something of your opponents to slow them down. Then on turn 3 you want your crab, fox or white rose to establish a character that doesn’t die super easily that might make your opponent think about not questing with their small stuff. I think an important mistake to avoid is playing 1 drop, snake on 2, fox on 3. Because you end up with only 1 thing on your board and if that dies then you are starting over. Having more characters gives you more options when trying to control the board.
Sorry for my voice cracking a bit at the end - just getting over a bad cold
Any inclusions from set 6 catching your eye?
@@territhomson3557 I think Heffalumps and Woozles is a good song to add to help with slowing down the opponent and triggering muses.
no love for Fred lol
He’s definitely close to making the list. He’s a good aggro card for sure.
2:13 Yes! Captain Amelia’s getting another card! 2:54 I knew that I’m Still Here would get a card! And I love the artwork and details on it! Now we need Always Know Where You Are to have one!
Hi, just curious as to why you’ve not gone with the resist shift herc? Would offer another trigger to Meg and is great against the ice block decks with his high attack, plus his resist makes him really durable. Also why not Robin Hood over Mickey lines? Is it solely for the protection against Amber steel?
I tried with the Big Herc during testing and I found I usually didn't have enough ink to use him so I opted for more of the bodyguard one. And I did go with Mickey for protection against steel song and the Diablo shift + song. I do think Robin Hood is a good option though, but at my local a lot of people run GS and AS so I put the mickey just counter.
@@poisoncana anything this new set looking like a good inclusion?
Please update for set 6 we have another herc
