I know this is an old video, but how old were the babies when you moved them into the containers? My Giant African Snail, Turbo had babies, I'm guessing on the 23 of December so they are 4 days old now. They just appeared! But my baby has a lot of hiding places and moss. I gave her new substrate 2 weeks ago. She/he loves snake peat mixed with coconut peat. Also, when can I tell if there are runts in the litter? Turbo vertalised her/himself so I'm guessing there will be some. Your snails are so cute! Love your channel!

lol I seriously thought that there would be nothing on RUclips about raising grubs? I was wrong... I'm doing the same exact thing as you are... Found a lot of them in my garden (I dont destroy any creature...even insects) plus they are not super harmful to the environment.. I was like "you know what...Im going to raise them...see what they become lol" I'm genuinely interested in what they turn into... Me and you are on the same level lol a little weird to others but to us it's interesting and fun...

I just started getting into spider keeping. Besides my tarantula who got me into the hobby all are native species I found in my house and are wild caught. First spider I found was a female bold jumper I named Rosebud. I wanted to breed her shortly after I did research on them and realized how easy it can be. Also unlike with a domestic animal since they’re wild caught and native to my area I can just release the excess babies. So I decided to give it a go. Unfortunately it took me awhile to find her a boyfriend as I found her in December and she became an adult in February. So she’s been an adult for a little while now. I’m new to spiders as I said, but I’m pretty sure she laid an infertile egg sack about three weeks ago because she wouldn’t come out of her hide and stayed in there the entire time. She’d also previously to going in had gotten so large I was worried I was over feeding her. But I think she was just pregnant. Obviously since she wasn’t fertilized the eggs didn’t hatch. And she eventually started coming out again and acting like she used to. She also was much thinner. Not like underweight or anything, in fact she was a healthy weight and what I wanted her to be, but as I said she was HUGE before she went into her hide. Anyway I waited a week after she left the hide and started acting normal again to breed her to the male I had caught for her a month earlier. Unfortunately I couldn’t breed him to her yet as she was still guarding the infertile sack. I am hoping and praying she is fertilized now as they did it for over an hour! It took a LONG time! She also was really polite and didn’t attack her boyfriend or anything lol! I got him out and he’s now in his own enclosure just as nice as hers. She’s now eating a worm, first one I’ve seen her eat in a month! (Not saying she wasn’t eating before I just didn’t see it. As I said she was HUGE even after coming out of her hide. I was actually scared to feed her right away as I thought she’d gotten dangerously large before and was finally a good weight) Anyway I’m hoping she’s eating despite her large size now because the fertilization was successful! This spider is REALLY special to me and I want her to have babies so badly! I plan to keep them all until they’re adults, then keep 6 and release the rest of them at a nature preserve down the street from me. As I said they’re wild caught and native so it’s okay to do that.
