This was such an amazing era for nascent multiplayer games, types you could only find on stuffer like Gamestorm and Mplayer and all those. Some were just amazingly innovative like Fierce Harmony or Underlight, and others like Dark Ages and Nexus just comfortable fun. 👍

this shows that the devs are hard stuck gold and only play cassidy. they where probably tired of getting ulted all the time. this change is complete BS. I know cassidy used to be a tracer country and well he still is. but this is just stupid. counts for DVA bomb and junk tire as well. he can even survive a full charged orisa ult now. literally makes no sense.

Where did you find this? Only the demo application and the game's installer (which does not work since the update servers shut down) exist on the internet as far as I know. I'd friggin love to get into SpellBinder again.

Spellbinder was the first online game I played. When it went down we tried to setup our own version with a freeserver but our coding skills were so limited that we just created a lan version for 4 players and then we abandoned it because our textures looked too ugly for releasing it. We then tried to create a cs 1.6 mod which imitated Spellbinder but somehow we lost interest.

This brings back memories. It's such a shame that only Magestorm has been able to get someone to replicate server side..... Spellbinder was ahead of it's time and so was Magestorm. It's amazing nothing has come to take where they left off.... Even someone working on the remake of the game in his spare time seemed to have give up, and unfortunately deviated his game far from what Magestorm was anyway. A shame. Really hope someone will remake this in my lifetime that can be played online again. This game was the absolute best.

DAoC was based off DFC (Darkness Falls: The Crusade), a text based Mythic game. It's pretty much a direct copy, but with graphics. Spellbinder was just the next version of Magestorm pretty much, all great games
