We had multiple teachers out with COVID last week. So happy that they will be back this week. First full week is always draining, but we start again on Monday! I love middle school! ❤
@@caschpmn11 I hope this week is smooth for y’all. We had a para out with covid and another para out with shingles. It was a long week but thankfully no other coworkers got sick. Middle school is my fav haha.
Our first week was last week and by Friday (even though I only worked a half-day due to a physical therapy appt) I was DRAGGING. It was so hard to get out of bed. 😂

The worst part of setup is that you always make it worse before it gets better, LOL. For me, I'd start one thing and then move to another and then to another so it took me ages to actually get things done!

@@JessalynRevelle I had ankle surgery in June, so my summer has consisted of a lot of lounging around, LOL. I go back to school on Wednesday, though, so much like you my break is nearly over.

Omg I miss teaching science. I did 5th grade science and s.s last year. It was so fun. I will be teaching ela this year but science and s.s are my preference. I loved the Amplify curriculum.
I was offered an ELA position this year in a different district. I couldn’t do it. I also just love science and Ss so much.

Ahhh I lived in Thibodaux when I went to Nicholls. I grew up in Raceland and got my start in Lafourche parish at Raceland Middle. I absolutely love the bayou and miss it so much.

LESS 👏🏼 IS 👏🏼 MORE!!!! I am walking into year 18. Talk about not having the energy or time… or the money!!! It literally takes me maybe 3 hours to set up my room. I am very minimal and use every inch of wall space for academics throughout the year. I personally don’t like the desk skirt but I’m simply not that person… if you like it then rock it! I also don’t put up anything that is personal. 🤷🏻♀️ I’ve found I need work to be work and home to be home. I have a very hard line when it comes to work/life balance. Love your windows. 💜

I’m so happy I found your videos. I’m going into year 6 as a 3rd grade teacher and have found your videos to be so refreshing because we have very similar thoughts on classroom setup. I’ve been told my room looks boring but I don’t think it’s an effective room if it’s all decor for sake of decor. Also I love your realness. Have a great school year! I’m excited to keep watching. It’s the only thing that really sticks to our walls and I love that it doesn’t peel our whiteboard walls. I hope it works for you!

@@erickamooney996 I wish! Haha. It goes to the classroom next to me. If I open it you’ll see another door. I can’t open the door to their room though. We have big storage rooms on each hallway.
