Most white based colors and pastels look ashy on darker skin like mine so I steer clear of them, but you swatched some that look great on dark skin! What a pleasant surprise! Thank you so much!

I learnt the importance of skincare from my mom as a child, but did not started using face cream ,,etc. until around 16. I don't agree with young kids age 8-13 to be spending money of luxe makeup/skincare brands since their skin are rather sensitive to chemicals in the luxe makeup/skincare brands and drugstore is more suitable & affordable (including ones with No fragrances). It is with exposure to social media to platforms like tiktok that is to blame of these trending skincare products. Due to covid lockdown, the drop in sales of full face glam makeup, businesses turned to pushing skin products and easy to use lip products like lip oils, balms and glosses. With an aging population globally, industry targeted younger generation to push sales of products in their marketing. They wanted to capitalize the insecurity of especially tweens by pushing their marketing strategy to products that is more simplistic , ie body sprays, fragrances ,lip products mentioned and skincare. Tobacco industry also noticed dropped of sales of cigs and is why pushed sales of vaping to young adults since to them it looked "cool". Many parts of world now got growing epidemic of vaping addiction of kids due to covid lockdown.

I clicked on your video because you are brown skin like me. I'm African American, we are similar in color. I got the bare blackberry and like it a lot. It's a good moisturizer with a just a tint of color. For us brown ladies, I figured the darker colors are better. It is pricey, at $38 regular price for a single one, but I like it better than other products I've tried. The only thing I'm wondering as I prepare to order is whether I should stick with raspberry or try the raspberry. I'm hoping to find a brown skinned lady trying on blackberry and raspberry to see the difference. The other colors I think would either not show up on me or if they did, would not be flattering.

I do want to say something and I hope that it comes off the way I intend…your hair color: I can’t tell you what to do with your hair, you obviously love what you love, but the purple color is washing your beautiful face and skin out rather than enhancing and complimenting you. Maybe a darker shade of purple? Again, it’s not my choice and you can do anything you want if you love it. But you are beautiful, your skin is beautiful, and the next time you’re going for a different color, I hope you’ll choose something that serves and compliments how gorgeous you are!
