The Flight System Training Review
Просмотров 6 тыс.6 лет назад
One of my most requested videos and questions over the years have been about training for J4. And honestly, I’ve tried many things but this is one of very few programs I’ve tried and found that works for me personally. Thank you to my brothers who participated and helped me with this small project. Check out our video if you're interested. The program we used for training was: The Flight System...

Eat it!!
This man is an icon to Hmong volleyball 💯 great tips ima need it
Get packed.
thanks for the tips. a couple things i never really took into consideration. but definitely will now XD
We taught KO to hit line. Too easy. You’re welcome lol.
That’s why I never shit talk
😂 bro got hit even harder.
Where do you guys play at? 🤔
Low as net lol
Awesome advices for our young kids.
Aewsome i like this tip!
tried this and got blocked by ya'll...lies!
Freakin num 9 is a giant no one can block him.
@ 8:45 was game changer for KO. Hova hitting outside. After that head shot by Hova. Damn…the momentum was there and they end up taking first. Is this the last ALL Hmong team to win J4th? Haha
I remember that like yesterday. Airborne set to win with their height but it all came down to that swing of momentum when Hova six packed their setter. Definitely a David and Goliath game!
Make more live videos to teach the young folks, thrs too many rookies who think they can play n tournaments. B4 someone can enter the ring they must know what they doing.
I wished I learned to hit younger :( still learning in my 30’s
Lol!
I’m watching this in my 30’s :( lol
Love this! I feel like you need a veteran or good setter to get this. Could you post up any at home drills?
Thank you!!
I like how you said “what’s my brother go to shot? It’s simple! It’s his super cut. “ Lol big brother knows little brothers game all to well haha. And your brother was a BEAST , if You didn’t tell me I would know. He’s hard to read
I don’t think kids these days know how good you were. To me you were like an Allen Iverson growing up. If you don’t mind me asking, Just curious what was your vertical during your prime Hova? Could you dunk back then? Lol it seems like it!
You live in wisconsin
Yes I live in Wisconsin :)
Hey man, you should make a volleyball timing for youngings 🙏🏻
Love the tips! How do you go about doing these body fakes and doing crazy cuts and have good shoulder health?? I have lots of friends and including me who have done this for many years and we all have shoulder issues now 😅 but seems like you and your brother yeeleng have good shoulder health. Any tips on maintaining good shoulder health or properly swinging your arm during body fakes to prevent shoulder injuries??
Love your videos sir!!! Keep em up!
Never knew you made quality content like this! Will definitely be tuning in for more
Yes - thank you very much for the sub! I’m trying to put out more content. Let me know if there’s anything that you’d like to see :)
@@hova-protouch8893 I'd honestly love to see what you do in preparation for long tournaments! Like what you eat/drink the night before/the day of, how to conserve your energy while still playing hard, how to stay consistent when the pressure & sun is beating down on you. Stuff to put your body in the best position for prolonged volleyball!
Can we see volleyball from yeeleng perspectives? Haha
Haha
Hahaha -- I can definitely ask him and see what he says
Mind games. How does one defeat an opponent that is taller and stronger? We talk about this all the time. Given that both teams are of equal skill level, we can always bet the team with the tallest players upfront will have the most advantages. Shorter teams have a harder time especially in HVB.
Easy answer to this. If they have a "Token" tall power hitter. You might too have a Token player on your team. There are some teams out there in HVB that dont have them and do well. But teams that have them and play well with each other will more than likely do well in these HVB tournaments.
Man thats a though one!! Cause it’s true that if the skills are even you can mostly bet on the taller team. But I think it’s a bit more complicated than that. I think you have to take a look at the players on the team. True the teams skills might be the same but there might be a difference between skills between players or in a player on the other team. And it’s your job to find out those weaknesses and exploit it. I’ve played many players that seem unstoppable but at the end of the day manage to beat them by exploiting their weakness in say like blocking or passing
More lessons on how to beat Yeeleng please. He keeps coming to MN and taking our tournaments 😥
Hahaha sounds good. More coming!
Any videos of you guys playing against non-hmong players lol? Besides Marty and them lol
I wish!! Unfortunately I didn't record too many of our games. I had to "borrow" footage from Huey :)
@@hova-protouch8893 Ahh okay, I've only heard some stories when you guys where in college lol. I believe you also know Eli Sharping as well. He was the assistant coach when I was still going to UW-Milwaukee. Validation outside of the hmong community!
Oh how awesome!! Small world!! I do know Eli! We went to UW Madison for a bit together. Did you know that the setter for M.E. in some of the games was Eli’s brother?
@@hova-protouch8893 Yeah, Eli is beast lol. Played with and against him a couple of times during open gyms. First guy outside of KO and Legionz that had the same power, intelligence, and vertical as you guys lol. Yep, he mentioned his brother was the lefty setter lol. Small volleyball world lol, especially in the midwest!
Yea Eli is definitely a monster!! But yea it’s a small world here. There’s a bunch of undersized hitters who are really good too. That I’ve seen! I’ll have to make sure to bring my camera to record more games outside of hvb
Maybe post a video about learning to find the seam in the block and hitting through it? I can pretty much hit anywhere expect through the gap! Thanks!
Thanks Justin! I will definitely put a video together on hitting that seam!!
To hit thru the seam. You need peripheral vision, and the adjustment of your arm swing. Hova has a natural misleading arm swing.
Keep it up Hova loving the tips and tricks for volleyball 💙
Thank you -- I definitely will try to keep it up :)
Also applicable for blocking as well (very common in beach Vball).
Yes definitely!! This is definitely applicable to blocking as well. Sell your blocking line and then at the last second - dive the angle!!
Knew everything but the last part about diving in the direction of the block. Wow that's crazy. Thanks for the money knowledge. You are a legend hova. How tall are you if you don't mind me asking?
@@hova-protouch8893 I'm 5'6 bro. Working on getting 40 inch vertical. I realized it's much easier to also get blocks down if you can easily get up there. Glad we are around the same height.
Nice video Hova ! IMO, blocking someone is so much more satisfying than hitting a straight down.
Awesome tips brother. I knew there was more to it. You remember Colorado's #1 hitter? That was him all day. You think having a fast swing helps too? Cause, when he went up - before you knew it, the ball was dead already.
Loving the volleyball tips Hova keep it up 💯
Good video ! A tip, try to adjust the volume of the music as you’re trying to explain.
LMAO!
but why you got to do that though? 🤔🤣
this is cheating...don't be giving away my secrets...took time learning this in the mountains under a waterfall
lol!
Hova, I’ve always looked up to you as a player and the way you played the game. These tips that your giving to the younger guys or even the current guys says a lot about who you are. Keep these coming bro and I’ll watch these as they come. 🏐
Remembered this tournament like yesterday.
keep these video coming...💯🎯
I wish someone told me this back in my playing days...
How about a video on how to read the hitters and where to block when they run quicks or plays?
Yes yes yes! Finally someone said it! Speed speed speed! Great tips hova! Hopefully these new gen players can take these tips in and use it to there advantage.
on point, well said
