Okay, maybe I'm *missing* something but my *brain* is having a FIT--asking and saying "Why did she even have this thing?" "What the hell was the POINT?" It made absolutely NOOOO sense!!!!
She probably has a bad back or knee and doesn't want to use a wheel chair. I am going to get one to get rid of my wheel chair & be independent again!
That’s exactly what it looks like. Someone that uses a wheelchair when being on foot is required for anything longer than say 15 minutes. They’re not fully paralysed, still has the use of their legs but gets easily fatigued. This would be an excellent option in that instance!
There are people who have problems with their hips and knees and cannot ride a bike. The gear here is a good alternative. Then there are also people who have a weak heart and / or COPD and have difficulty breathing. When walking with a rollator, they have to take many breaks because of shortness of breath. Here they sit while running. That relieves!
Yes, you are missing something. This walking bike is meant for people that can walk, but cannot walk long distances. Normally they would use a wheelchair (electric or not). But these are very cumbersome and/or heavy. Yes, some of them could use a bicycle, but you are not allowed to use bicycles in shops or on the pavement in The Netherlands. Another disadvantage of a wheelchair is that you are immediately treated as a disabled person. With a walking bike this is not the case, as you are standing upright and are not seated like in a wheelchair. This makes a HUGE difference for the way people treat you. And yes, I have a lot of experience with wheelchairs and other means to assist your mobility. This walking bike is a great tool for people that can still walk.

This is an amazing piece of kit. So simple and by the looks of it easy to use. ' They say' that the easiest simplest things work and this just goes to show. I'm gonna look into this as I wanna know more, as does all of my wheelchair using friends.

Good idea...should be the transportation for individuals in the future...safe to ride for all ages and will help environment pollution and cheaper transportation.
