Amely Ways
Medhurst Plain
My sitting room window looks out onto Northern Parade in Portsmouth. One of the main routes out of the city and I saw a couple of these vehicles go by travelling North. I knew exactly just what they were.
The misspelled words in the credits ("Naration," "Los Alomos") are not confidence inspiring. Also, no mention of the Aldermaston Easter Marches and the birth of the peace symbol. Own your cultural heritage, people!
shock end awe

walked in with one eye, walked out with 3.
I was looking out of window some time ago as I live on a major road out of Portsmouth Nd 3 of these vehicles went by at about 1.30pm. I knew what they were.
War 3
You have to be a special type of psychopath to want to build such horrifying weapons of mass suffering. They should stick to their vanity projects instead.
Is this near Banbury?
Just a risk of some radiation . No big deal

Thank you. Great summary. MOD is now quite open about Trident being de-targeted since 1994, the entire operational lives of the Trident submarines and W76 (Holbrook) warheads. If CASD operations only serve domestic political hubris, they serve no operational mission for NATO, then someone somewhere within the political establishment should have the courage to point this out and begin the process of getting a proper review before the accidents accumulate into a major incident.
I like the way the US wouldn’t share the sound barrier secrets after the uk gave the US everything we knew… and then because of that the UK posted a couple of early jets to Russia….
US is like that they steal scientists, they will only share something only if in return you have something that they can gain from you, it is to maintain superiority in the military
I was on Polaris boats late 70s to 80s....memories
Interesting. Fascinating really.
Nukes from Aldermaston!!
This place should be buried 1000s of feet underground. This is the first place that will get hit during a war with Russia
That is nonsense... Why hit the place that produces the bombs when the people in charge are nowhere near it...
There has never been an accidental nuclear detonation. Because it takes a specific reaction to cause an explosion. Likely the weapon wasn't armed
The Americans probably do it better by disgusing the trucks.
Imagine being assigned this job as a firefighter knowing if you mess up a good chunk of your country will be history.
Who are in the green vehicles vans is it SAS
They transport nuclear weapon components, not whole weapons.
Do nuclear weapons really exist? I always thought that they were a gigantic con job. UK certainly never had thermonuclear weapons as they claimed.
lol another russia account
The UK have plenty Hydrogen bombs. Only six countries have them which include United States, Russia, United Kingdom, China, France, and India. The UK also has hundreds of nuclear bombs too.
@@fx_playz8865 Nope. UK industrial base is insufficient to produce the necessary materials. We nearly destroyed the North West trying to produce enough tritium for the only one we did make. This was to demonstrate to the Soviets that we had something we didn't.
@@colinstewart1432 You do understand that hydrogen bombs require less fissile material to create the critical mass per Mt yeild right... You admit that the UK had the industrial base to create standard nuclear weapons... It is moronic to claim that it didn't have the ability to create hydrogen weapons given the fissile material required is no greater... Having said that, of course you must have knowledge that is unavailable to the rest of us plebeians. How about you provide some of the evidence that you clearly must have?
@@colinstewart1432 Britain's first successful hydrogen bomb was detonated on November 8, 1957, over Christmas Island in the Pacific. The test had a yield of 1.8 megatons. On November 8, 1957, the United Kingdom carried out its first thermonuclear test, codenamed Grapple X There were 45 British nuclear tests from 1952 through 1991. Early atomic tests were conducted in Monte Bello Island, Australia, then at Emu Field and Maralinga. Later testing was done at Christmas Island in the Pacific. British had 520 nuclear warheads in the 1970’s. Current stockpile is 225 warheads. The UGM-133A Trident II, or Trident D5 is a submarine-launched ballistic missile, built by Lockheed Martin Space in Sunnyvale, California, and deployed with the American and British navies. It was first deployed in March 1990, and remains in service.
I agree.

I love how there's just one fire engine following them, as if that's gonna make a difference
@Yuri DeKhed tis called a joke :p
@Yuri DeKhed i usually spit on them
@@thurse-ri8je Settle down
You must be the first person ever to make that joke. Well done.
Law and Order.
why do the move them around?
The weapons are built, serviced and dismantled at AWE in Berkshire and the convoys transport them to and from Coulport on the Clyde, where they are loaded on and off submarines.
They get bored on the sub
What for if i may aks
Thanks
RENAULT
Not carrying any weapons, laws dictate that of transporting or training, enforcement powers are enabled to stop traffic and convoy participants can freely travel through said traffic and traffic lights.

plot twist: the nuke was actually on the last van
Plot twist: you're basically saying "the nuke was in the convoy". That's the whole point.
Whenever they say nuclear materials I always think of toxic linen
Why so desperate to see nuclear shipment, Or is it some scheme to tell Russia where they are..no t thay they don't probably already know! It is unlikely they are primed or armed anyway.
Yes, this is helping russia. These things happen every 6 weeks and are completely public..
Broken convoy and decoys
Empty, proberly training run, as they would take all three lanes, with blues on. I have seen them on the motorway do just that.
They do that on certain traffic conditions, but their usual traveling formation is as seen on this video

Fascinating. I wish I'll see a convoy one day. Also it's quite interesting they still use the exact same design in the trucks and trailers nowadays

I live here & never tire of seeing these beautiful beasts. If I could turn back time, I would have signed up for this in the 80’s.
Looks like a lovely place to live.
