Brilliant 👍
Was losing either way ig
did Larsen play it till checkmate?
Thank you for your comment! Bent Larsen did not play the game until checkmate; he resigned early. Resignation in chess is common when a player realizes their position is lost and there’s no way to recover. However, we continued the game in the video to demonstrate the final moves for beginners and help them learn. I hope you found the explanation helpful!
@ that helps. It just would be as helpful indicating in the video point WHEN Larsen resigned.
I see no reason why portisch sacrificed his queen.
Good game 👍. Why black didn't resigned as queen was made?
Good game! Some might wonder why Black didn't resign when a queen was made. In fact, Black resigned earlier in the actual game, but the match was extended here to demonstrate to beginners how the position develops and why it's completely winning for White. It's a valuable learning experience to see the power of a queen in such endgames.

Alphazero game 😮
Greetings from Bugojno 👋🏼
Greetings from Bugojno! I'm glad this game brought back some fond memories. 😊
Velimirovic played great till 4:53. I'd played Ra1 (instead Be5). Then after white's (Qb3) push black pawn a2. Promotion to a Q would be imminent.
wow! seems Velimirovic was one move late. 5:02 He played Ra1!! Only after black B is away unblocking Q escape to a best field.
Thank you for your excellent analysis! Your observation about the move Ra1 is very insightful and shows a deep level of understanding. Indeed, small timing errors can be decisive in such games. I’m glad you shared your thoughts and look forward to more of your observations in the future!
Seriously, why that AI picture with totally wrong images of the chess players? Please do not do it anymore.
Thank you for your feedback! The image was generated to provide a creative representation of the game. We’ll consider your suggestion for future videos to ensure better accuracy and alignment with historical references. Your input is highly appreciated!
Beautiful game 🎯
Thank you for watching, I'm glad you liked it.
Headline said Tal against Josef Pribyl, however the graphics: Uhlmann Wolfgang. So who was Tal's opponent?
Nc4? (controls nothing much), Nd7 would've been better; Therefore White: f6! Then Ra7 (??). Useless...plus: pulling it out of K defence line...not gaining anything in the office either. Ra1 was even more useless move...lost tempo and position gained nothing?? To me, he was playing decent game till 5:33 (Nc4). Not really sure what strategy was on his mind.
Thank you for your comment and your detailed observations! It seems there was a mistake in the graphics, showing Wolfgang Uhlmann's name instead of Josef Pribyl. We’ll work on correcting it. Regarding the move Nc4, I agree that it didn’t add much to the position, and perhaps Nd7, as you mentioned, would have been a better choice. Your thoughts on Ra1 are also interesting, and I’ll review the game again to reflect on Tal’s strategy at that stage. Thank you for your valuable feedback and support!
Magician from Riga attacks again!
Indeed! Tal's genius and creativity shine brilliantly in this match. Thanks for appreciating his magic!

Beautiful game 🎯
Thank you for watching, I'm glad you liked the video.👍
Why didn't he resign since he lost everything???
In fact, Poutiainen resigned during the game, but I completed the rest of the moves to the end to help beginners understand the optimal way to conclude the game from this position. The goal is to teach everyone how to capitalize on their advantage effectively and secure victory skillfully.
Белые проявили не уважение или как это в шахматах называется
In the world of chess, no move is seen as disrespectful, but rather as an expression of each player's unique style and tactics. Your observation is very interesting, and thank you for sharing it!
1:25 white taking a pawn with rook? Perhaps Bf4 would be a better move?
Thank you for your observation! Bf4 could indeed be an interesting alternative, but the choice of taking the pawn with the rook aligns with White's strategy in this position. It's always fascinating to explore the possibilities in such a rich game!
@@TheChessTutor and White's strategy is?
White's strategy in this position focuses on maintaining activity and exploiting weaknesses in Black's structure. Capturing the pawn with the rook is consistent with this plan, as it keeps pressure on Black while preparing to activate other pieces. Thank you for asking!
Good 👍
Thank you for watching. Greetings to you👍
Have the names been changed or the pictures😊
You're right, I didn't change the images. Sorry for the mistake, I'll fix it next time.
Lev was the winner. Blunders by Tal
You’re absolutely right, Lev Polugaevsky was at the top of his game during that match. Tal's performance was unexpected, which gave Lev a great opportunity to secure the win. What’s your opinion on Tal’s performance in this match compared to his other games?
