Ms. Barker's Chemistry & Biology Channel
США
Добавлен 4 окт 2011
I have been teaching high school in Virginia for over 20 years and have adjuncted at local colleges for several semesters. There are lots of videos I've posted here over the years for my students, but my more recent videos are focused on AP Chemistry and AP Biology. I've been teaching AP Chem for years, but I'm new (year three) to AP Bio. If you aren't one of my students, I hope they are helpful. The videos are based on Zumdahl's Chemistry and Campbell's Biology. #apchem #apbio #sciencerules

❤❤❤❤ I am a sri lankan advanced level biology student
thank you so much. Your literally the best teacher for ap bio I have found
thank you!!!❤
Thanks, miss, for the video, but can you kindly link the slides?
Thanks so much!!!
Thank you so much. This helps a lot!
Thank you! :)
Hello, I wonder If I can get a slide somewhere, since the content is according to campbell's textbook.
if i pass this exam i owe it to you
I’m on the same boat
Thank u
Please never delete this channel 😭🙏

Great lecture! Super helpful as I study for my exam tomorrow :) Thanks!!
bio153 eh?
I am not sure I can agree with your take on science's definition of 'theory'. It almost seems as if you would be giving support to those naysayers who would say "yah, but evolution is just a theory." Theory, in science, isn't a guess or a hunch. Gravity is a theory, and the 'theory of evolution' is indeed backed by insurmountable and incontrovertible evidence.
Yeah her definition was somewhere closer to predicting an observation, not even a hypothesis
Thank you so much! You’re so great at explaining 💖💖
Do you have a link to these powerpoints? Appreciate the vids!
what the fuck is up bitchesssss
At 19:27 that is an example of COMPLETE Metamorphosis NOT Incomplete Metamorphosis. Thanks for the video!
TYSM
Thank you for this video!!
I miss these video why no post more of these😢
thank you for these 🙏
💪😤 i funna get an 100 on chapter 25 test
Can’t hear this video so well 😢
P.S. I also just subscribed!
Hello 👋 I’m really enjoying your channel. I’m in this Bio class and I’m just going through the chapters with you. Keep up the good work.
You say Um too much it’s very distracting. It would benefit students if you could work on that
no
Please share these slides😊
Thanks!
Good 👍
are you using Campbells Biology 12th edition for these videos?
I believe I was using Campbell’s 10th. We have since adopted Campbell’s 12th. If I ever have time I may go back and redo these.
This video was very helpful, I just have a question about the "You cannot measure heat" part at around 28 minutes into the video. If anyone could answer, that would be great. What does that mean, I was thinking Fahrenheit and Celsius were ways to measure heat, but if I am looking at this with the wrong perspective or context, I would love an explanation.
You can measure temperature, but there is no device to quantify energy. It can only be calculated.
learnt a lot from t thanks
stu-stu-studdering too much
I’m sorry my video wasn’t at a quality you expected. It was my first year teaching the course, and I hadn’t taught bio in 10+ years, much less college bio. I was still getting acquainted with the breadth and depth of the content. These were made for my students during COVID, and I was going through a lot of content in a very short period of time.
@@barkerchembro just hating thank you for the review videos ma’am.
@@barkerchem Ignore the hateful comments, thank you for the video!
barkerchem don’t listen to people like these your videos are extremely helpful and I can tell that you’re a great person. Thank you
@@barkerchem excuse me mam im sorry for whatever i said foreal i was just mad because our teacher made us do work to this
I just want to let you know. I am taking bio 2 at a univeristy and you teach 100000000% better then my professor. Literally paid her just to watch you instead. Thank you so much!!!!!!
LOL im also in University taking Bio2 and i stopped going to Lecture and only watch Ms Baker
Thank you both for your kind words. Still go to lecture! You never know what you might learn there!
I know this was three years ago and I do not mean to come off rude!, but you should practice not saying uhh, or umm so often.. or at all! It is very difficult at first but it makes you a much better presenter and speaker without saying uhhs or umms !! Other than that all your reviews are amazing they help me out so much!

Does this also apply to senior high school?
I teach this as part of my dual enrollment/AP Bio course at high school.
How can we get access to these slides?
Thank you!
You are quite welcome!
can i get the powerpoint?
Thank you for your teaching, master.
You are very welcome!

Hello, Im preparing for IMAT, and I have found Pearson books to be great for that.I have found this video also containing lots of information. Is this enough for the test?
I honestly don’t know, but I hope you did well!
hello i am applying this year for the imat , do you recommend watching this playlist? cuz i don't have enough time for reading the book however i have a good base of biology
you are the best!!!
Thank you very much!
this and last chap are the worst 🥲
A fascinating topic, presented in a devastatingly dull presentation.
I’m sorry my video wasn’t at a quality you expected. It was my first or second year teaching the course (I don’t remember specifically for this video), and I hadn’t taught bio in 10+ years, much less college bio. I was still getting acquainted with the breadth and depth of the content. These were made for my students during COVID, and I was going through a lot of content in a very short period of time.
