Jeronimas Kačinskas - Trumpet Concerto
Just awesom ❤
For ESP I assume?
@@BretNewtonComposer Commissioned by the University of Illinois sax choir!
@ nice!
can you make an oboe/bassoon version
@@arobhg19 I'm already planning a bassoon quartet version. I'll consider a double reed quartet version!
cool Sancho Panza quote
This would slap on some tubas 🫣
It was originally for tuba-euphonium quartet! You can view that version here: ruclips.net/video/yhYoahQ7tpw/видео.html
Mr Clark is a diva

Fabulous! Why aren't more people listening and commenting????? Fascinating music and terrific performers. Bravo.
LOS AMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
These young musicians hit it right on the head. They have the feeling that goes along with the tune. Excellent.
Reminds me of Danzon No. 2 at points
LIKE 👍 👍 👍.
Bro, this is so good
very cool!!
First
Thanks for sharing your talents with us!
the bot blames itself🤡
Really cool idea for a piece, man! Definitely going to give this one another few listens
Incredible you are incredibly talented
Realy good
If actual factories were this witty and amusing, the world would experience an industrial renaissance.
Świetna muzyka - dziękuję za przesłanie tego utworu ❤🎉😊
this seems familiar... 🧐
Does the score include alternate parts for the Eb/Alto parts? I would love an alternate part to alto as I sadly don't know anyone who plays it :/
Given the range of the part, the only feasible substitution would be basset horn, if you have access to one of those?
@@ClarkProductions118 ah, I didn’t think about range. Maybe I’ll look for an alto player 😅
1) this goes too hard for its own good 2) forget Blue Man Group, I wanna see the official Joe Man Group live! 🌈
I firmly second this notion.
My favorite song, definitely one of the best arrangements I have heard, and I have heard many!
Awesome!
True professionals for thinking on their feet when Joe was missing a page of music. It was an honor to share the stage later that night.
That is one squeaky boy (and I love it).
Needs more low brass 😜 Bravo, mon ami !
I can't begin to explain all the good feelings around this piece and performance: the memories I have with Joe that inspired it, his gift in writing it for me, and the opportunity to perform a movement with him in our former high-school for friends and family... Thank you so much Joe for your unconditional friendship and pushing me to be a better musician. 🔶
Bit of fun backstory; Alex shared this piece with Joe and me this spring and made the mistake of joking when we would perform it. Well, anyone who knows Joe wouldn't be surprised he took this offer seriously and immediately began coordinating calendars and finding other pieces. I can't thank the two of them enough for pushing me musically and can't wait for them to put on a recital of their own. 🤫
I can't stop laughing at Joe disappearing so well behind the piano for his clarinet. Such a fun night to share with old friends 💜
Beautifully done
Toccata, I have to really agree with you.
This is just a suggestion. To avoid the constant alternation of measures, one could notate the piece in 7/4, indicating that the enphasis is on the first and fifth beats of every measure (in this case).
Thanks for the idea! I have done things like that in prior pieces (sometimes with a dotted divided line, sometimes not), but as a player I would find that more difficult to read in this case - and I also did want to make the divisions between waltz bars and tango bars obvious to allow for the slightly different rhythmic inflection these dances require!
WHAT IS A BEGUINE?
I like this performance, Joe. Thank you.
Wow!!! Excellent!! Artie Shaw is proud!!
This piece provides a bad image of the low clarinets.
it does lowkey ,but his main is probably either soprano bflat or pic not the low ones. Im sure he probably just learned the lower ones specifically for this performance
@@Loll225 I'm actually pretty sure his main is Alto, and there's a lot of other videos on this channel of him playing low clarinets. I reckon a dodgy microphone setup probably isn't doing his playing justice
all those instruments and not a ligature cap in sight... sounds good even with slightly dry reeds!
9/10 needs more contralto /j
When I wrote my dissertation on Francaix's Clarinet Concerto back in 2012, it seemed like there were far fewer people performing the work. It is encouraging that, since that time, more students and professional performers seem to be performing this work. This Concerto certainly deserves far more performances. It is a gem in the repertoire, and extremely challenging but rewarding.
So much fun to perform! I would love to read your dissertation!
@@ClarkProductions118 Oh I thought you had read it since the quote above in your informational section had my name on it. I typically don't go by the name WhiteCrayonComposer. 😂 But that was the name I jokingly gave my channel.
@@WhiteCrayonComposer Ah got it, then I have read it!
@@ClarkProductions118 When I was doing my research on the work, I had created a more playable version of the piano part since the piano "reduction" that Editions Musicales Transatlantique published was a hot mess. But I was not able to get permission from them to publish my arrangement. That's a sad thing because I think if it had been published, it would have made it more accessible for more students to study the work, and get pianists that could accompany them on it. But they are a French company. So go figure that they would want a monopoly on the work.
@@WhiteCrayonComposer I also prepared a better reduction, which I think we used here if I recall correctly. They have since made and published a better reduction of their own!
That was awesome!
The clarinet is playing behind the beat and the rest of the band is dragging. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
Just saw this. Absolutely loved it. Real music played so beautifully. Thank you all for this marvellous rendition.
I love swing music. This young band does it great justice. Thankyou
My parents love song..
Amazing.
Artie Shaw. ❤
Well done, great transcription, I hope more conductors and ensembles play it in this very practical scoring.
Thank you so much! I hope it gets performed again as well!
