I love Doug quite a bit, with the number of reviews, he's bound to have mistakes. That said, he pointed out later on all the things in my review were correct. So that's a credit to him. The DuoSelect is also not bad if you are performance first, as it's technically the more hard core version, which ironically might be the 'true' enthusiast version in the future. Very good points. I own 2 Ferrari and wrench on this car, and you are 100% correct, it's a Ferrari. Also, the F1 gearbox is seeing a resurgence, it's actually the connoisseurs choice among some enthusiasts. Even Doug DeMuro has been saying he's appreciating F1 more and more. Appreciate hearing about your car, and congrats and enjoy your 4 door Ferrari sedan.

@shazzamjones very true especially the 2000s one as much as I love the 60s one it was way too clunky in eveything besides engine transmission and driver train becuase duh 60s race car from New team

Mind you it came with 28k miles already needed the gearbox replaced at 7k miles

sorry to hear this, this was DuMuro's biggest issue, which the cars with ZF transmission don't have to worry about.

I like Doug a lot, he's great. I just think he got it wrong here, which to his credit, he acknowledged in a later video.

The 2005 he had was broken, I'm in a 2012 btw, it's the same exact generation. Watch the whole video and then ask what (or who) is dumb.

2012? Even worse and yes it's a dumb comparison if your car is only considered a face-lift it's a huge one looks like a different Gen to me 7 years is a long time and you should know that

A 2012 model Dosent have nothing to do with a 2005 he did not have to state in the video "but the face lift models got better" he's simply telling ppl not to buy the 05🤷‍♂️ if he attacks the car in any way cuz the rest it's just his opinion on the 05 model, key 05 model not 2012

It ain't super fast, but not bad - like not ultra laggy, but not as fast as say the 2023 Airplay stuff.

@@econseer I don't personally know the guy to say whether he is a good person or not. However, to be real, I don't want to own a car that attracts Doug. I want attractive women and obviously the further repulsed Doug is out of the framework, the better. That's just to be real. He drives a Kia stinger and a Land Rover last I heard, the guy is forever in a T shirt, I don't want to be that guy, I don't want to look like him and I don't want the cars he drives. I watch Raiti's Rides. You should remember, Doug was affiliated with that fraudulent car dealership CMC motors, which isn't very far from my house.

@@dare2scheme904 Hey do you, but I don't base my friends on how they look, what they wear, or what they drive. You don't have to be him, look at him, or even like him. So all good. As far as CMC Motors, they burned a lot of people, I don't think Doug was in cahoots with them. Not saying you can't hate the guy, but I got not issues with him or his reviews.

@@econseer maybe Doug is a great friend you can depend on when you need help. Maybe you two have fun times traveling and hanging out. Maybe he has your back in a street fight or when you are in trouble with the law. Of course, I highly doubt any of that is the case. The scope of my discourse here is the fact I don't respect Doug's opinions about cars and his reviews are not trust worthy. Modern Kia/Hyundai motors are known to throw rods, catch fire and explode so he tried unsuccessfully to dupe suckers into buying in. Won't even bother getting into the problems with Land Rovers. Doug disseminates a lot of misguidance, erroneous and misleading information and he has no sense of taste or style.

That's strange given consumer reports and JD power have been giving their cars great reliability reviews, including their engines. What are you doing, modding them or something? As far as Land Rovers, Dough always says they are unreliable. Hey, as I said, if you going to be a hater, that's your business.

Definitely worth it! Though a pain to install - (not easy) - the size is the stock screen, so unless you go aftermarket - that's as big as you can get if you want to maintain the OEM look. Cheers

Thanks for your thoughts. I've had the car now and so far I've done all the maintenance work myself. It's not doubt expensive if you don't have the ability to do work on it. My thoughts after 4 years of owning it, if one is the type that can't do their own oil changes, this is not the car for you. On the other hand, if you aren't afraid to wrench, this is freaking the best car out there! Cheers

This is a good point, which I addressed in the very first minute of the video, hence I said one should get the 5.5 (if you plan to buy it.) This car first came out in 2005. Almost 20 years ago, easy to 2023 Monday morning quarterback.
