Darrell was/is one of the smartest drivers on the track and then in the booth. People talked shit about DW on Fox but he knew what he was talking about......you don't win 3 Cup championships and 83 Cup races and not know anything.

Now Jeff is 50 years old, a long way from that young hot shot that burst on the scene in 1993.

Jeff was my favorite driver, and it was sad to see him quit, however, considering what NASCAR became after the Car of Tommorow, i don't blame him for a second.

Jeff’s back played a big part in his retirement , I’ve watched Jeff since the last race in the Busch series then he went to cup , been a big fan ever since , what a ride it was !!! Now I watch Byron drive the 24 car !!

Having back pain is really debilitating...that 200 mph Pocono crash hurt him bad lucky he didn't die...being able to drive as long as he did and still be competitive is really amazing

Jeff was like the only driver I cared about in nascar when he retired that took a part of my soul always respected his decision to be with his kids but damn did I want to see him win just one championship he was very close 3 years in a row it killed me to see it end hope maybe one day he gets in the car one more time that itch gets him one more time whether that be chilli bowl, Indycar, nascar, imsa, leman if he does one more race you can bet your left nut I’ll be at that track

Back issues is no joke

Gordon was my favorite driver. He did things for the sport and had more of an impact on it's growth than any other driver. They changed the rules to shake things up and keep him from dominating. There's no doubt he would have won more championships if Rick had kept Ray and the rest of that team together. He learned a valuable lesson and kept Jimmie's team together, allowing them to dominate as long as they did. I was sad to see his Jeff's run end but happy he made it out alive and able to live a happy life with his family.
