your channel is amazing, you are a great engineer and teacher 👍🏻
love your work
Thank you
why does shear need to be divided by perimeter and effective depth why do we need effective depth
Need to consider the shear stress
How to decide pile nos
For 3000 kn only 2piles required how?
@@sudeepta2869 The Number of piles required depends on the pile capacity (structural and geotechnical)
Please make more videos about Geomembranes ❤
Thanks
I want to know how you get the live load and dead load. Its seems like it is not realistic.
Values are jus to elaborate
good topic, please combined for 3 or 4 column
Will add it in future. Thank you for the suggestion
Which formula must be used here considering both singly reinforced and doubly reinforced * As=M/0.95fyz or As= M/0.87fyz for singly reinforced section * As'= (k-k')fcubd²/0.95fy(d-d') or. As'= (k-k')fcubd²/0.87fy(d-d') * As= k'fcubd²/0.95fyz+ As' or. As= k'fcubd²/0.87fyz+ As' I need to know which formulas are correct
You could use the first one. It is the latest, in 1997. The other one was in 1980s.
Can you share the details of the bar arrangement according to the pile cap dimension?... lik e bottom first u bar in longer dimension or shorter?
We can have the critical bar at the bottom layer. That can be done. Since we tie the rebar, and is within the concrete, the necessary restrain is there for tension bars. You may also detail like a beam manner that distribution bare acts like a link too. In that case, reduction of the effective depth shall be considered in the design.
@@structuralguide thank you somuch
Which Code clauses specify the 75mm eccentricity, and the 150mm overhang?
These depend on the type of code and construction methods. Generally, the allowable tolerance is defined for the pile construction and then it is considered for the design. You may refer to the structuralguide.com website for more articles on this. The following like would solve most of your concerns. www.structuralguide.com/pile-foundation-construction/
Vt = 2T / [ hmin2 (hmax - hmin/3)] Vt = 2T (2*10*10^6 = 40000000) [ hmin2 (hmax - hmin/3)] = 300^2(600-300/3)= 45000000 -- 40000000/45000000 = 0.89 n/mm2 i tried to re-caculate your formula and I cant get the 1.24 n/mm2 im getting 0.89 N/mm2
Fabulous!
Thank you
where is the ultimate pressure 175, impact on the total area of the foundation ?, outside ultimate force on column ?.
is that bearing capacity of soil ?

@@structuralguide Thankyou!!
1:41 how do you get the moment from area multiplied by kn/area loading
It is correct in this case. When you need the moment, first need to calculate the moment per unit length that is 4x(2x1) x 2/2. Then the total moment 8x5 = 40
I think his derivation of the 40 KN.m moment would be,, 4KN/m2(5m)(2m)(1m)= 40KN.m,where; 1m is the nominal moment arm
If possible pls work on audio

I am not mature sir . Just novice😊
Very informative video for a 70 year young mature geology student. I collect rock samples but now wish to classify them geologically. Looking forward to many new videos on this topic. Please do so
Noted, thank you
Can the building 👷♀️ sink throughout the soil because of rain ? I know that a tornado 🌪 or earthquake 🌎 can definitely swipe it away or maybe a strong hurricane. I lived on an 18 floor before that used to move with the pressure of the highway and trucks 🚚 🛻 passing throughout it . I think the building closed down is a couple of blocks from here.
A building can settle due to the weakness of the soil. That is inadequate bearing capacity, failure of soil due to the exceed of loads, etc. But for traffic movement, settling building could be rear. For high-rise buildings, this is unlike. Most probably, high-rise buildings are on pile foundations. Settlement of the deep foundation with the traffic movement is very unlikely.
Where can we buy this and what's the cost
Hi, we are not selling. This is shared as knowledge sharing.
Great video. May I know what standard references did you use for this test procedure?
This an application, when color changes, we know it is carbonated.
Whether available in Maharashtra.
No, not available

Wow

Sir, I have 1200Sq.ft.area in Dharwad, Karnataka State I built-in Duplex house, request you send me your plan and cost. Also your office which city and State. Thanks.
Good liked it
Why bar diameter cannot be found even though there is a function in the device?
Most of the devices do not have the facility to determine the bar diameter.
Sir how to design a temporary movement joint?
Your question is not that clear. In high-rise buildings, when it is connected with smaller buildings having a smaller number of floors we sometimes maintain temporary movement joints. Once most of the construction is completed and as per the calculation expected vertical deformations are almost over, we connect the two structures. We provide provision for concreting at a later stage in these types of occasions.
Good basic review. Thanks. I live on the top of an ox bow island of a glacial moraine. Anytime I use my shovel is always an adventure.
Really good useful videos Sir.

Sir , how the Vc value 0.75 found out from table 3.8 bs 8110 using this v value?
Vc is obtained based on the 100As/bd and effective depth.
Sir, In our case, 100 As /bd = .72 and eff. Depth is > 400 . Couldnt find a value 0.75 (Vc) corresponfing to these data frm table 3.8?
Now it is clear what you are asking. The Vc that I have considered in the example is some approximation. The correct value needs to be obtained form the table based on the 100As/bd and as per effective depth.
Sir your location

Modal kese banaye
If you know the properties of the soil and the foundation, you can do the modeling as usual. In the case of footing, it is not always required to have a model. You can do the calculation manually as it is not complicated. You may refer to the following link for further information www.structuralguide.com/design-of-pad-footing/
Thank you
Love it
is it possible to design without beam
No, it is not recommended. We should have a beam and the most preferred arrangement is to connect the beam to the pile cap.
Does this take account for weight of slab over beam or just weight of beam itself ?
In this work example, the calculation of the bending moment and shear forces are not given. When you design a beam, you have to consider the weight of the slab, imposed load, weight of the beam, and any other loads on the slab such as partition walls, walls on the beam, etc.
thanks for the video brother. I have a question. If v < vc + 0.4 and v > vtmin, can I provide only additional shear links for torsion without detailing additional Side Face Reinforcement?
Suggest to follow the code requirements.
