Engine oil change is easy - filter is easy to get at, drain plug is easy to get at, and a gallon of oil is no biggie for a drain pan. The thing that is a PIA is the transmission oil (UDT2).... 3 Gallons and drain plug is of course at very bottom of machine. Only way I can see to drain effectively is to lift this 1,700lb machine to facilitate draining 3 Gallons of oil into a suitable container or pump out via fill port on top. Yellow HST filter is of course easily accessible. Main transmission filter is underneath machine but not too hard to deal with. Anyone have any advise (yes, British spelling rules) ?

Valvetrain tick is very common on mazda engines from that era. My F2T engine does it too.

We used to replace zerks until we got the Lock n Lube this spring. Just pull the zero and hook it to the coupler to shoot the gunk out. Thats fixed the last 5 out of 7 stuck fittings I finally got the last 2 working today by shooting some PB blaster inside the fitting and then loading the M18 gun with all 10k psi while moving the bed up and down. I was beginning to think they'd never take grease

Don’t need to take out the alternator there’s literally two bolts on top that’s easy to remove take them off replace gasket and thermostat and retighten the bolts at 20ft lbs of torque Did it yesterday took 10 minutes

Every now and then mine ticks, but usually when it does, it’s low on oil. I would remove the oil sending unit and clean it up with electronic parts cleaner/alcohol, throw some of the Lucas oil treatment in there, it will thicken the viscosity and help significantly. Mine stopped after I did this.

So, they half assed the installation and then you came in and half assed what they half assed instead of fixing it the right way. Should’ve put their name and your name on the title so people will know not to contact either one of you hack jobbers

The holes can be filled with hard nails. Paint match, quick fix.

Why build 2 different layout jigs before finally transferring to the steel? Just lay it out on your steel and cut that shit! Lol. Find something good to trace your radius, line up your centers and lay it down on steel. You transferred that same radius 3 times to 3 different mateirals. I mean, it's only purpose is to hold a grinder, doesn't need to be perfect. That wooden guide you ended up with was far from a perfect radius anyways. Just saying, made it way harder than it needed to be, but that's how we learn.

Can you show how to hook up garden hose to it? To run the boat out of water

But I don't have that switch. My boat dead in the water. Got old shoreline control panel and no label on one of the switches. Just got the boat. Went to crank and nothing. I have 2 batteries and plugged to shore and have a battery accessory volt charger connected as well. I don't know what the hell to do. I did notice a red battery cable is corroded. Not sure if it's that. But it dead.
