This song was written for the cinema (The Mummy 1932). The Mercury record company (Emarcy) recovered it for an album by the singer Helen Merrill. Bill Evans heard it, liked it a lot and recorded it, in addition to playing it in his live performances. Since then it has become a Jazz standard that many musicians have played and recorded, including A. O'day (with his very personal style).
