I thought all the timed, mr.todd rung, was n...the grps, of chicago's, he's blend n...toom so fascinating, and also very- talented, born with that's gifted, too😊😮😢❤❤😊😢🎉
Todd had such a unique way with that wammi bar on the Fender Mustang he played in those days. One of several reasons I love this period in his music. I've always refused to believe it was just more "prog rock". Something made him all but give up using a bar after the mid 70s. Maybe he thought it was just too gimmicky, but to me it was an essential and expressive part of the early Utopia, along with the guitar/synth interplay. Runner up fav thing was Rog's body suits. Priceless clip thanks to OGWT.
And to think Harry Styles is creating a stir about his attire at the Grammys, Roger Powell makes him look like a total square! And the musical skill of this band also makes him sound like a total baby!
I'm assuming this is from 1975 - after the dissolving of the Power Sextet, and before Kasim joined, after the release of Initiation and, most likely, right around the time Another Live was released. My first Rundgren show was with this lineup at the Chicago Auditorium Theatre in November, 1975. Unforgettable.
Further to my previous post, I remember that I didn't know who was going to be on the whistle test that night, and I missed about the first 20 seconds of Real Man as I setup my cassette player to record the two songs . I played them over and over along with my radio recording of Todd at the Hammersmith in London. I have had a box set of the "At the BBC" collection on CD for a couple of years now, and I now get to listen to my past through Todd.

Ralph’s bass tone is really plucky ...I like when his bass is a little warmer ,....but what a great bassist !

Been a Todd / Utopia fan since the late 60s now at 70 I really truly understand the talent and quality of his music
I remember I bought that album another life super LP Live in Central Park
Todd Rundgren and Utopia one of the best bands
Todd Rundgren a wizard a true star
The greatest musician of all time Todd Rundgren
I think this is THE best song that Todd has ever written.
You may be right, although there are a lot of contenders. I've been coming back to this song for the last few months. It's just so amazing.
Is that Luther van Dross? P.S. I can’t spell!

Todd is the most underrated-underappreciated guitarist in Rock Listen to his work in Nazz from the 60's incredible
Who is cooler than the all powerful Kasim Sultan?
I never realized how great Todd is!!!

In the days before mic splitters...
There will never be another Todd Rundgren!
What happened to Jenny Feck?
Todd Rundgren always has lovely surprises for everyone to hear his Music 🎶🎵❤... Even if you just found him... Grate guy singing & having good fun...
Todd has always been such a beautiful wacko. He has, let me say, informed my life. What a wonderful artist, and courageous human being.
I wish he'd done a studio version.
