nice video
Thank you. I note your site name. Ironically the prototye of this (unrehearsed) video , yesterday, had extensive reference to the fact that Alheimers Disease can be avoided (According to Medical Experts) by keeping the Brain stimulated. Listening to music , or even better playing a Musical Instrument, definitely stimulates the brain, especially when one delves into these sorts of playing styles!
glad to see your still at it
@@noelsmith9536 Thanks Noel. I think I’ll die trying…..!!
@mikedebruyn5538 as long as you try
@ Thank you.
That's cool as, Mike. What are you using for a slide? I have tried using a slide, and it sounds like a truck load of saucepans rolling sideways down a hill. Nothing like what you're doing.
@@MrJamesjustin Trust me I’m Not a Slide Player, nor do I like the style, but I like experimenting and having fun!! I used an off cut of a Plastic Curtain Rod in the room.
@mikedebruyn5538 it's ironic that you don't like the style. Normally I don't think much of it either, but what you were doing sounded clear and clean, and really good. Maybe the curtain rod makes it cleaner. I don't think much of curtains, so I am going to knock off the rod in the kitchen and conduct my own experiments.
@@MrJamesjustinAwesome!!!
I liked that. Good stuff.
@@MrJamesjustin Thank you Mr James. That makes two of us! I enjoyed the jam… different and I do like experimenting with different musical ideas.

@@coryleblanc Yes indeed and then it’s so very satisfying.
Amazing tone + beautiful PRS! I ended up getting one for christmas and it's very quickly becoming my favorite to play...
Thank you. It is truly a great guitar and I can understand your favoritism!
I just bought the same guitar!!! Mine sounds nothing like yours lol. 😅 Ty for the video.
Thank you for viewing. The Fender Strat is an Iconic Guitar indeed. This is a 60 Year Commemorative Reissue adn its range is vast. Tip : Use in conjunction with a ( Boss) Noise Suppressor pedal espacially if you play yhrough a Tube Amp as Singkle Coil Guitars can be Noisy. Also add a bit of Mids in your EQ Settings, or turn down the Trble and up the Bass a little to Fatten the Tone, (but in this vid I wanted a Sharper bright sound).
@mikedebruyn5538 beautiful, I got the beginners pack with the 10g amp. It's very different to the 7-8 acoustic I have bought over the years. I am thoroughly enjoying the ability to mod my sound simply by switching pickups .... I have an exciting journey I'm just starting. :)
@@PenSlapsFantastic news. A very very enjoyable journey awaits you.

@@MP-vg3js Good. I’ll try that as well.
There's certainly some good bargains to be had... I picked up a Dean 4 string acoustic bass this time last year for $100, cleaned it all up and she plays beautifully. I didn't catch the brand of this one?.... And I put a left handed neck on my mate's old strat recently, and had to drill out new dot markers and fill them with epoxy.
@@al3633 Great to hear that Guitars are being Rescued! This is a Michael Kelly 5 Bass, (the longer version video is now up). Thank you for your great tip on the fret markers. I’ve done three guitar rescues so far and enjoyed it as much as playing them. The story behind a Nylon Acoustic Guitar I picked up on the local sidewalk is the best story , I’ll post someday. I actually met 94 year old owner a few years earlier, on the sidewalk, as I walked on by, before he died. The guitar is so to say unplayable but has a fond place in my heart and is now my Grandson’s first guitar as I gifted to him when turned six.
@@mikedebruyn5538 mix the epoxy with whatever colour you want, you can use finely ground chalk, bi carbon soda, food dyes, mica powder... I actually used ciggie ash to get black/grey dot markers, it was a maple neck, my mate the owner is a smoker so he saw the sentimental funny side of it. Use precision when drilling the holes and a nice sharp drill bit. Don't forget the double dot at the 12th.
@ I Love these ideas.
