30cc Zenoah gas (petrol) engines

It’s a kit from Zippkits g30 tunnel. OS outboard with FE adapter. Tenshock 2240 motor. Flycolor 150a esc.

This is in Georgia. Pretty much all racing in USA is a mill that counts down to the start. Outside the US I’ve seen they will start and toss in from the dock.

You have 2 mins to start the boat and get it in the water to mill, then clock beeps and its first to complete 6 laps. These run stock 26cc so prob 50mph range..

These are stock 26cc zenoah engines.

I don’t really test with a gps, I’m sure it’s one of the fastest on 4S, haven’t really seen many with these new motors yet..

@@jjh.rc.videos8863 that’s a shame it’s just guess work without a gps. Those motors are supposed to be efficient. It would be great for someone with lots of money to run a boat with something like a tp motor and compare the speed and amp draw with the same kv and set up. To see if they are worth the extra coin.

@@jamesatkinson7517 I test against other racers, rather than a GPS speed. A lot of this motor tech was developed by the racers and companies are now starting to mass produce it. I have not tried their larger motors yet, but I can say for the smaller sizes they are better.

No, his pond had a lot of weeds, so he couldn’t run boats much this year. Cause of that, he didn’t build many new ones.

West systems 105 and 207 epoxy. Can get as a kit with pumps. Or zap makes finishing resin

Thank you, it’s a very good combo, very fast and I’m currently leading our district in points with my sport 40.

You cant get rid of the soft start with the ztw. No issues getting on plane, though. Just have to give enough throttle you don’t go back into that soft start, if you are slow milling around. Overall I do think they handle current better than the comparable swordfish.

@@jjh.rc.videos8863 yeah i know exactly what ya mean. you cant go less than like 20% throttle to keep that from happening , but i ran one in a ul19 and it would dive completely under water like quiet a bit... it did ok on a jae 33.. but over all i was able to get a comparable speed on the flycolr150a with the high peak they have they have a fe ddifferent names stamped on the, i never liked the swordfishes they always go bad.. i woulddmine a cstle hydra xl2 500a esc.. but i just really dont feel like forking out the money for that one....i assume that slow start is a design feature to keep the esc from overloadding right out the gate like many like to do....

@@jjh.rc.videos8863 You obviously are very experienced with it from the looks of your channel. Maybe one day I'll try it on a build. Did you use this same glue on say a Whiplash hull??

@@zeeek1 Thanks! On a Whiplash / Backlash I use wood glue on frame to frame connections. Then west systems 105/207 on the sheeting connections, cause that’s what I seal it with. I do use 30min epoxy on wood to foam connections like a Jae sponson sheet.

It has: TP 4060-1650kv motor, seal 200A esc, gens ace 6s-5000mah lipo, abc 1914-17/45 prop.

@@jjh.rc.videos8863 would a TP 4070 fit in these? I comment on your other video an hour saying I need a home for one.

It’s the 33FE (21fe v2). He just cut the top deck and made a hatch like the old 21fe v1.
