Brushless motor driven bipedal robot: CAD, PCB design and hardware testing.
I built this bipedal robot using second hand hobby brushless motors, a custom designed ESP32 based FOC controller for motor controls, and a Teensy 4.0 as main controller.
Part of the build was done on vacation while i was at my parents house so the background is very messy lol.
The next phase of the development will be designing and implementing an MPC controller for full body control.

This controller is designed based on ESP32 and DRV8313 and runs on simpleFOC library. Demonstrated here is position control. It does not have current sensing, which will be the goal for the next iteration.

what are you going to use as a stabilizer controller? Did you think about center of gravity position or others to malke stabilizer controller more stable? btw it looks amazing, wish you all the best
@@АртемЕгоров-р6щ Thanks! I'm using MPC controllers. Starting with a linear inverted pendulum model to generate trajectory of the feet. Moving to full body model with hybrid model predictive control later. For hardware I just made sure in CAD, that the linkage lengths are such that, the CoM can always align with center of mid foot pressure in some subspace of joint configurations (or else it's impossible for it to balance at all)

How much legs? - Yes.
Sweet build, best of luck on the control. I was wondering, why were the knee motors mounted inward rather than outward? It seems like it would just make the gait wider, and I was trying to figure out what benefit it brought that would counteract that.

Just putting this out there, you’d design an awesome mech for Mech warfare. You don’t see many bipeds in that competition. Also if you ever plan to release some of the designs I would love to build it myself
