Bless baron the first sound system I saw live as a younger youth age 15 in the international 2 longsight Plymouth Grove Manchester around 1989 0r 90 saw these amazing speakers and equipment and was amazed at what was going on .That night they clashed with now generation from Birmingham. Certain name's come up time and time again such as Leggs the Giant. I think a program dedicated to the builders of equipment should be put together. These people are very important because back in the day, you couldn't buy off the shelf equipment that was good enough for Soundsystem. I also think some of those engineers had been taught in the military probably serving Queen and country which is another contribution not really acknowledged. Great set of interviews.

very interesting stuff. he was there the night Mr Fatman's sound almost never made it because the van broke down with us just up the road. you could look down the road and see phebies I was a new was a youth box boy for the sound back then, hard work some sounds still had very heavy quad boxes too :-)

Coventry is bigger than leicester. Coventry also has a more impressive history than either B’ham and Leicester Also I was running sound system in Coventry from the seventies before most other sound systems in Coventry🙂🙏🏽
