I enjoyed dozens snd dozens of 80s live concerts. RATT was always so fun live. I once saw Queensryche open for RATT here in Chattanooga. What a night.

Gillis was another early rocker who fell in absolute love with the Floyd Rose trem, and he was an interesting player. Which is why I never understood his choice of playing with that silly Night Ranger band.

So RATT came to SLC Utah March 18 1984 to film this for Rock Palace. Many have seen the Ozzy pro shot concert of Bark at the Moon tour show from that night. Mötley Crüe opened for Ozzy, but that footage has not surfaced. Ratt came on at 4 PM during a sound check. And there were no fans in attendance for the set! Two classmates worked security for the show and confirmed. We were very upset they didn’t open the show.

I saw them shortly after this show. Out of the Cellar was not even the 10th best rock record of 1984, yet there is absolutely nothing this good today. :(

Wonder how much this dude got paid playing for Ozzy. I’ve been watching doc’s and vids on RUclips and, they don’t get paid much. Not nearly what you might think. It would be interesting to know.

fun music, but very effeminate straight guys. I've never got that. Had they done the exact same music but dressed like men......would have been timeless. This is horrible. Metallica got it right. Still packing stadiums. no hairspray or teased hair. No make-up or fancy hip gyrations, just kick ass music and dressing like men.
