Welcome to the I Did A Runner Podcast. Each week we will focus on inspiring people and their stories from around the world, the challenges we can face both mentally, and physically, and some of the funnier things that can come from life too, to get you through your day or run.
Phily Bowden: The Road To The Olympics | I Did A Runner Podcast
Joining me on the podcast today is elite marathon runner, coach, and content creator, Phily Bowden. Phily is joining us fresh off her most recent marathon in Berlin which catapulted her presence in the sport running an impressive time of 2.25, and a PB. Phily is not your typical athlete, with an unconventional journey to get her where she is today. Her openness and honesty is what has drawn so many to be invested in her journey. You can’t help but want her to succeed and achieve her ultimate dream of performing at the highest stage, the olympics.
Running has changed her life and the person she wants to be, from a disruptive childhood, it has given her a purpose, and enabled her to channel...

Jonny Davies: Tackling the Demons Within - A Mental, Physical, & Emotional Journey | I Did A Runner
Просмотров 17419 часов назад
Returning to the podcast after his toughest challenge yet is Jonny Davies. Jonny recently completed RUN THE CAPITALS running all 5 capitals in the UK and Ireland, covering 960km in 12 days. This conversation so close to the challenge was an incredible vulnerable and an honest one. I saw a different side to Jonny i’ve never seen before, with some time to reflect on what he’s done, it really unea...

Great interview, loved the wide range of topics :-)
🫶🏼 Philly
❤❤❤
I love phily, total inspiration. Your questioning and interviewing was insane, looked totally in charge
Fan of Phily and Daniel, watch all their video's, so much fun and also informative.
gotta love Phily. she's so rad. great convo you guys!
As a runner i love the information she gives to help other runners. And her and daniel's personalities of course :) Love the grind!
Love Philey!
Im here for this!
❤❤❤
Words cannot express the admiration I feel for this girl. Thank you for this conversation 🙌🏽
❤
Alhamdulillah!!! I am most definitely not a runner and just came across a clip of this podcast and decided to watch it in full. I am inspired by both Maliha and the host. To speak your truth is so powerful. Thank you both for sharing with us ❤
Salute 🫡
Woww maliha ❤
until you have experienced chronic pain shut your mouth
Your experience is ass. My appetite after a run is less than if I did nothing at all. The digestive system kinda shuts down after a long run.
it's all personal. and as long as you're in a deficit it doesn't matter, you can overeat and still lose weight if you're burning even more calories
Nah I call bullshit, I was 17 and a half stone, been fat since childhood, hated running with a passion my whole life, I eventually decided enough was enough and started running every day, I lost 4 and a half stone within a year, I’ve kept that weight off and even gained muscle from working out, running is insanely valuable, any kind of cardio is going to make you hungry because you’re burning fat and using energy. 🤦🏻♂️
Deserves more views. Totally accurate
Ah I really like Ryan, always thought he was too good to be on MIC. A man with such integrity is better than a drama/ego fuelled reality show. X
I feel like, at times, Josh pivoted the conversation to make himself feel involved. Really just wanted to hear Ryan share his story without constant caveats
I know they are friends but Interviewer taking too much I think
I Did A Runner Podcast, amazing content I really liked it
Exactly how we should all live, fuck the billionaire's, let's bring'em back down to earth
What an app.
It's really good advice. 👍 thanks Dr Alex 🙏 ❤
Its just such a big relief to say those words to someone you love and they accept you and still love you. You're doing amazing things honey!!!
It's always good to hear good advice. Congratulations Dr Alex
White Guy with a podcast
Yes, it’s called moderation
What a lovely, intelligent girl ❤️ this was really joyful to watch. You both have a wonderful bond and you and Binky are clearly the best parents ❤
What an amazing young girl ❤❤️
Who the fuck is going to help? Eh?
Really enjoyed this podcast. Two men so raw with their feelings so honest and real. With Ryan could really feel it's going deep. A lot of men still these days don't dig deep and struggle to be so raw with their emotions. Well done. On the flip side so very sorry what you and Louise and Leo had to go through. I have a son same age as Leo and ensured some struggles myself but can not fathom this.
Short women belong to short men
Nobody belongs to anyone
I'm amazed this video does not have millions of views here. Both of your testimonies are gold 🥇🪙 everyone should watch these videos ❤
Loved listening to this, good on you Ryan for being so open and honest x
ryan actually always came across really well on MIC, amongst all the immature weak little men on the show
Absolutely loved this episode! I resonated so much with everything Lucy said. And I love the quote too - happiness isn't defined by numbers. So important to remember. Thank you both! 🙏🏼😊
What an inspiring parent just beautiful
You can see he is so traumatised, there is so much there. He is such a good man and an inspiration. Hats off. They are both healing but Ryans path is longer I feel... Look forward to their podcast.
Bloody awesome interview. I love Ryan Libbey, he is a standup, genuine guy. I would like to suggest that Josh, you make and hold more eye contact. 👀
Thank you Ryan for sharing a partners birth experience, and the early stages of fatherhood but with trauma, it's not spoken about much and I hope you realise how much you are being a spokesman for many men who have to watch their partners go through something that you can't help or control. Take care of yourself, I look forward to hearing your podcast.
having followed Louise story i always wondered how it effected Ryan its one thing to go through it yourself but then seeing it from a partner who has to witness awful things carry the weight of the trauma, parenting its heart breaking thank you for speaking about all you have been through Ryan
Thank you Ryan. I have watched Louise’s journey. You are incredible for opening up about seeing your journey through your eyes. Sending healing to you and your beautiful family ❤️🙏❤️
Well done to Ryan for speaking his side of the story! He looks so hurt & not himself. I hope their little family finds their happiness and spark again!
I've listened to a lot of Louise's interviews as I resonate with becoming 'unhinged' and losing so much of myself after years of health trauma came to a head. I also suffer with PTSD from it and am recovering. And im so glad to now hear Ryan's side of this. I've only recently started to realise what my boyfriend has gone through supporting me through such a tough time, he has been having therapy too. I'm so glad Ryan has shared his experience so openly. It will do wonders for helping other people in a similar situation be able to resonate and address their emotions and get therapy if they need it. great episode ❤
Aww Ryan my heart goes to you.
Incredible episode, thank you for the honesty. Well done lads, this will break records 🙏🏾
@@_dines thank you 🙏🏻
