over 20 years ago I worked on an early 90s Ford and after an hour plus of poking around, I figured power was stopping halfway through the fuse box, which was under the dash and not all crappy looking. It was then I learned that Ford's fuse box was made like a printed circuit board. If you added accessories like a snowplow with the all too common piggy-back connectors next to a fuse, you'd likely burn up those little tracers and power would be lost. The fact that the dealer had one in stock tells me they knew of the problem.

Time for tlc and lots of pb blaster Michigan salt 😢

People need to stop buying cars and trucks that are really just laptops on wheels...they will fail and when they do it will be at the most inconvenient moment....there is no need to make overly complicated garbage like they do now.... Go back to a base vehicle manual transmission, windows and very few gadgets!!.. But hey keep buy these turds I need the money I get paid for fixing them...😂😂😂

I'd bet money that truck has been underwater at some point. People buy re-titled flood vehicles and they are NEVER anything but trouble. I bought a (British) sportscar that had been flooded. I ended-up re-wiring it, replacing 98% of all the electric or electrical parts and it STILL wasn't reliable. What would it have cost the goober to have the truck TOWED and IMPOUNDED and STILL have to pay for repairs???

You’re first mistake is buying a fucked up POS ford. I work on these POS trucks everyday. They use to mean quality and reliability. Now it mean shit and the biggest ripoff you can purchase.

I understand tapping the starter to check a bad spot. It takes ten seconds. If it started, almost 100% of the time, the starter is the lone problem. Now the fact that the guy couldn't go beyond that as a professional is an issue. Hope he didn't charge him.
