Bringing derelict, rusty and forgotten about tractors back to life and a few cool old antiques along the way.
Allis Chalmers WD45 Tractor Engine Stuck
Finally another update to the 2nd Allis Chalmers WD45 Tractor ever built. The tractor was stuck, but I didn't know it was this bad! Check out my other videos for more information on this tractor.

Case CH Tractor Update Will it run after sitting for years?...Yes it does!
Просмотров 169Месяц назад
Hey Everyone, this video is giving an update to my 1938 Case CH Tractor. After looking at it, I decided to throw some gas in it and try to start it up and to my surprise it started right up after sitting for a few years! It desperately needs a constant fuel supply, but it will run!!

1953 Allis Chalmers WD45 2nd One Made!
Not all that unusual for one parked out for decades and dismantled. Parts tend to get lost in the shuffle. Good news, parts are readily available. Steiners, for one source can supply overhaul kits and not too pricey. Now the bad news, tires are at an all time high in cost. That will be the big cost, hopefully the rims are saveable. Those are wet sleeved motors so with a new kit you will have a new motor.
Depot cart!!
It's odd that the rocker shaft was missing 2 of the support towers. My WD45 has a Marvel Schebler carburetor instead of a Zenith. The Zenith could be original though? Mine is a 1955, I really don't know about the earlier ones. I think the Marvel is the better carburetor, but that's just me. It's a shame it had so much moisture in it. I can't believe how much junk is in those front 2 cylinders. Hopefully there are still some usable parts in it. Thanks for sharing, and good luck!
Great video! Thanks for bringing us along on your rusty tractor journey. At least those are sleeves you can pull and replace. Hopefully the head will clean up. Excited to see next video! Keep up the good work!
whoa dave, lest we get concerned about things that look bad, i feel the need to remind that those are sleeves, get new ones and pistons and the wd45 will run another 75 years or more. everything is going to be ok.
We had the same one on the farm. The 8ft snow blade was a bit to heavy. It bossed the narrow front around in the snow. We had every attachment for it. That looks like the right carb, as long as everything lines up. Darn I miss the old girl. Good video.

Awesome machine! Thanks for posting.
I have a very similar saw!!
Neat!
That's really wild looking!
Sounds pretty good!!! She’ll be a runner once you get the fuel tank sorted out. Thanks for sharing!!!
Looks like it has D series manifolds.
Че за здрочь😂?
😮 freaky! Gonna be scary at night time.
Cool! 😎
Interesting find. The seat appears to be a Joy Rider aftermarket seat, not a later AC seat. The carburetor is not the correct one. I also noticed it never had the snap coupler hitch system added to it. The first WD45s did not have snap coupler. Looking forward to its restoration.
Sweet!
I'd drive it. Heard the 3 cylinders were better than the four. But these are mostly European right?
You are correct, they were made in Dagenham, England and shipped all over Europe and a few made their way to the states probably through Canada.
@@RealTractorDave Definitely one in Canada. Someone down the road had a Dexta out for sale. It's not in the best shape though.
@@RealTractorDave the major is quite a tractor! My grandpa had one of these when I was a kid and this day, I can remember how it sounded when it was starting and when it was running, do you know how many of them made it to the US? I know my grandpa was one of them.
@rudycarlson8245 I think it would be difficult to determine exactly how many made it to the US, since I don't know of any import records showing the numbers, but I would say not that many were imported making this tractor uncommon and rare in the US.

ABSOLUTELY INSANE ❤

That's a really cool old Case! Sorry, I probably know less than nothing about the case models. The sheet metal looks really straight. Nice find, Sir! I hope you have a good one!
what a waste of such a valuable tractor
I don't think there's much 4010 left there LOL she sounds pretty mean
One step at a time...I'm looking forward to this, but I just love WD45's. Thank you for sharing!
I'm glad I came across your videos. I watched both of the WD45 videos tonight. First I'm glad to seeing you bring the old girl back to life. In my opinion I wouldn't completely redo her. Bring her mechanically back to new, but cosmetically keep her original. You're only original once, and she's in pretty nice shape for her age. Protect the finish so it doesn't deteriorate further. I'll be looking forward to your next videos.
6:35 mark….cotter pin?
Retains the nut so it doesn't spin off while rotating over time...thanks for watching!

Do you own this planter or know who does? I would be interested in purchasing it. Thank you!
Interesting...looking forward to seeing a video of it restored!!
I just looked at the block from my WD45, mine is AM3853-10. I forgot to look for a number below it. My tractor is a 1955. I'm guessing that AM3853 is the actual casting number, the -10 (or -21 in your case) may refer to the patterns used to make the sand molds for casting? Since they mass produced these I'm guessing they had more than one set of patterns, and the number would help identify which pattern made the mold if manufacturing problems came up. I work in die cast tooling and the same type of system is still used to identify mold cavities in case of production problems. It's cool you realized the significance of that tired old tractor. Personally I like them unrestored because then I'm not afraid to work them, but that one probably deserves a restoration. Thank you for being willing to save it! Hope you have a good one!
Thanks for the info!
That’s really cool!!! My grandpa bought a new WD45 when he started farming in 1953. My uncle still has that tractor, I’ll have to check the serial number next time I’m over there, you have me curious now!!
I would say restore it back to original. The first tractor I bought was a WD45 back in the early 80s and farmed with it so I have a soft spot for these tractors so make her stand tall and proud again. Bandit
Thanks Bandit, I think a full restoration is in it's future.
Total restoration...
Great video! Nice history on WD45s.
🤤
Just buy a new one ☝️ sell that..
