Yay! Several finished objects, both crochet and knot. A few WIPs and a future cast-on.
Hey Lady! You look amazing!!
@@soxynanaalice Aww. Thank you 🩵
Amazing bind off and so easy to do. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Go well and looking forward to your next video.
Love this! I have the Italian bind off figured out but it's always such a chore and if you get off by a step, it's pretty obvious and doesn't look good. There is really no screwing this one up it seems and I love that! Thank you for showing such a clear tutorial!
@@ALovely42 You're very welcome.
Is this better than the sew bind off?and does it use more yarn than the sew bind off n the regular bind off. Thanks for the information on new bind off methods
@@natalieholm7055 I can't speak to how much yarn it uses vs. the sewn bind off since I've only done the sewn bind off a little and quit before I was done. I have a hard time keeping tension even when binding off. That's my main reason using the Ruke. You don't have to worry that you might be pulling too tight. It's very forgiving.
Hi Lovely!!! your Sayelle yarn was a really great score! That was the standard here in Canada fore sure. I made tons of sweaters and blankets in the 70's and 80's with that yarn. your blanket looks like a lap blanket for 2 ❤❤❤ Love your new yarns as well. Have a terrific weekend! xo
@@soxynanaalice I was so excited to see so much of the Sayelle in coordinating colors. 😁 Have a wonderful day, friend🌻
Hi April! I just wanted to thank you for introducing me to Hercule Poirot, I so enjoy listening to Agatha Christie.
@@nancywillick5737 Yay! That's so wonderful to hear. Poirot is the best.😁
@@April_Davis Hugh Fraser is so good as is David Suchet. Have you read At Bertram's Hotel? Miss Marple is so good and she's a knitter. Lol Thanks again!
@@nancywillick5737 Yes. Miss Marple is great. 🧶😀
But you didn't start from the beginning?
Oh my. This will be my go to bind off from now on. Thank you so much for the very clear instructions.
Gorgeous 🤩
i like the Ruke bindoff. Thank you so much.
Love your socks! I can’t wait to try them. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. The original pattern that I modified, Vipere's Tongue is super fun.
Hi April! Nice to see you! Love the sweater!it's lovely ❤❤❤
Thank you 🌻
I love this bind off. Thank you !
You're very welcome
I admire the variety in your reading! Thanks for joining along with Cimmerian September. And yeah, your assessment of the 2011 Conan film is accurate.
Hey! Thank you for piquing my interest in new to me stuff like Conan and westerns. 😀
I really enjoy these book round ups, I must actually read some more Agatha Christie rather than just watch TV adaptations. Have you read The Christie Affair? I read it with my local libraries book group, it's a fictionalised account of the the time she went missing. It's quite good.
@@TanisMakesStuff Ooo. I've not read that one. I'll definitely do so. Thanks!
Hi April! I just found your channel today. I have never tried a test knit because I've been too worried not to meet the due date. Love your Dahlia (not sure how to spell this). Your colour choices are fantastic. Best wishes from a Canadian knitting podcaster!
Hello and thank you. Nice to meet you. Yes. Due dates are difficult. I don't do very many test knits. I think long and hard about what I have already going on, what the project is and if the tester has given a reasonable amount of time, especially if it's a garment because I wear a larger size so that would take longer than say, a shawl. 😄
Some good points. I will keep this in mind!
Hi April! I love reworking sweaters, it lots of fun
🤩 I'm excited. I really want to wear them this autumn and winter.
Love your granny square cardigan!
Thank you! I am so very pleased with it. ☺️
Gracias
I absolutely love this bind off! Thank you 😊
You're welcome 🌻
Thank you very much for showing us all the nice socks and yarns. Enjoyed myself here while I crocheted a little further on my project. You have a new subscriber 🤗
Thank you. So glad to have you.
Thank you for the demonstration it is very helpful. Does it matter which side is the right side doing this in the round
I've only used this in the round on the right side. I'm assuming you work in the round with the inside (wrong side) facing you. I don't see why this wouldn't work that way. It's very subtle looking and shouldn't be a problem. Let me know how it works for you. 🙂
You didn't start from the beginning?
Your socks are all great. The yarn you dyed came out lovely. You'll have to report on how the all wool socks with cables hold up.
Thank you. Definitely will let you know how they hold up. 🙂
Hey❤almost missed your show, I'm just catching up!😊
Hi, friend. I'm behind videos also.
Baby’s first weighted blanket!😂 Love the edging on the blanket. Thanks for the episode.
Thank you very much. Glad you enjoyed it. 🪻
Hi April, Love your cross stitch and the baby blanket is awesome ❤❤
Aww. Thanks! 🪻😃
Hi Chum! Lovely show, love your advent throw, it's do pretty. And all the little leftovers are so scrumptious in that bowl. The baby blanket I thought was Brioche at first glance. Hope you are doing well xx
Thanks! I also thought this crochet pattern looked like brioche. And it's so easy to work. Have a lovely day, friend. 🌻
I like will try
I just accidentally found you. We should be besties! Lol ❤❤
Do you have the pattern for shawl and sock thanks
The shawl is called Darjeeling www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/darjeelingtea-shawl The socks are just my own numbers. I rarely use patterns anymore. 🙂
Thanks for sharing! Your throw / wrap is stunning
Thanks! Having a good time working on it
Hi April Happy 2023!! Love your Advent Shawl/throw. I would love to know the Mohair in socks answer as well. Maybe try it just in heels and toes first and wash in the machine, that way if if felts it will just make the heels stronger! Thanks for you show! Cheers ♥ xx Ps.... love Avi as well
Oh yay! I love when I find other Avi fans. 🥰 Another person commented that socks with mohair should be hand washed only. But I like the idea of doing the heels and toes for reinforcement. 😃
Regarding the socks, I made some cutoffs so I can get the right fit. It did not work out that way. You were talking about the socks and I thought…same girl. 🤷🏻♀️
If my sock surgery doesn't work, I'm getting him beer and pizza and calling it good. 🤣
@@April_Davis Sounds like a good plan❤️
It’s worth hand washing mohair-wool socks! No washing machine, ok?
Thank you so much. I'll remember. 😊
Never heard of this BO before! LOVE IT! In spite of my forgetfulness, I think I'll remember this! Thank you!
You're very welcome! Glad you found it helpful
+
Super! That would make very durable cuff edges, especially for children's sweaters and heirloom sweaters. We've all seen ragged cuffs on a beloved Fisherman's knit or Gansey from ages ago! Excellent video!
It has definitely become my favorite bind off.
Love love love this, so simple!! Thanks
Gladyou like it. You're welcome.🌻
Hugs. Many hugs for you.
Thank you so much 🌻
So many hard losses- sending giant hugs

Thank you 🌻
Glad you’re feeling better. We’ve escaped so far, but I think we’re all going to succumb at some time. Hugs
Very true. Stay healthy, friend 🌻
Feel better!
Thank you! 🌻
I love that shawl so much!!! Is it available now?? If you’re not a fan of yellow, you might want to reconsider lol because that looks SOOOOO GOOD
Thank you 💗. Yes. The Reflector shawl by Julee Mackessy is available now. 😊 I'm ok with yellow as long as it's not all over. For me, it's only an accent color.
❤️
Your marled yarn shawl is amazing!!!
Thank you ☺️
