For 2kgs of flour I used 1400 millilitres

The bill was $9.3 and we had agreed with the landlord I'll be paying $6.2 every month which still is on the highest compared to how much water I'm using in a month. I only need 1300 litres for the entire month which equates to 1.3 units which is roughly $1.3. I had a talk with him and he agreed we should stick with the previous agreement of paying $6.2. everything is now sorted and I'm not going to get rid of the plants. Thanks for your concern.

Thank you akanye. I just found out the water meter is faulty. When I fetch water in a 310 litres tank it gives a reading of 500litres. I've talked to the landlord and he has agreed I should pay the amount I normally paid before they changed the meter. For this reason I'll not get rid of my vegetables.

You should not let it seat on the counter for more than 12 hrs. The sourness is from fermentation. It continues fermenting faster at room temperature. To reduce the rate of fermentation you should keep it in the fridge. You'll have to add fresh milk to reduce the sourness.
