Awesome RC Rock Crawling in Acadia National Park!
Hello thanks for this video, what is the autonomy with the 5000 battery ? thanks
What do you mean by autonomy?
@@3DudesRC how many minutes can u drive with one of these batteries ? (approximately)
@@fabianterf 15 ish minutes going full throttle and crazy. Up to 40 if going pretty easy. From my experience anyway. Temperature also has a pretty big effect. Don't last long in the snow and everything overheats in the heat.
@@3DudesRC ok thank you for your answer 🙂
That's strange I have had my CR10 for 5 years now and no problems at all just upgraded the hot end about a year ago.
3 years later, what has been your experience? Has it held up? I have oversized tires on my Rustler and go on extreme terrain. Doesn't last long. Going to switch to metal, but actually upgrade the entire diff once that arrives.
We've been pretty happy with them. We did break some teeth off of the pinions at first, but after switching to hardened steel it wasn't an issue. Running excessive amounts in the sand dunes also proved to be pretty hard on the gears, but also just the entire truck in general.
I used those purple Radio Shack rechargeable batteries in mine when I was a kid. They gave the car a lot more power than regular batteries. This was a fast little buggy in its time. However, its rival of that time, the Tyco Turbo, Hopper was faster, but didn't cut corners as well.
@@davesampson158 thanks for the info! It’s cool hearing everybody’s childhood stories and memories with this car!
@@3DudesRC I actually still have mine in full form, and it still runs. I wanted to share a pic, but there's no feature on here to allow me to.
@@davesampson158 that’s sweet! Yeah I wish there was a way to share pictures on RUclips…
It’s 179 now
@@Ducko8000 👍
i broke the drive shafts as soon as i drove it the first time.
@@snakehenri1257 Dang that sucks. But welcome to the hobby!
I’ve had it a year and I’ve spent more time replacing, leveling the bed and waiting for parts than I have done printing
@@MrFuzzwuzzle lol yes, they definitely seem to be hit or miss. Mine has ran relatively smoothly, but I did just upgrade to a Bambu Lab A1, substantially better machine! Video coming soon!
🔥🔥
yessir
That suburban as awesome I have one just like it and i just painted up a clear body suburban thats purple
Lol, are you Josh? If so then that's ur suburban.
Mine did that it is boggy like that sometimes until it warms up
@@EVALM8 Seems to be running much better with a carb rebuild kit!
Mine Still Boggs mid full throttle, wondering if it’s worth getting a rebuild kit someone told me it could be the fuel pump needs a rebuild kit as well, any advice would be much appreciated 🙏🏻
@@richardstone8615 carb rebuild kit seemed to do the trick for us. Ran like a beast last winter! Hard to say if fuel pump would be causing issues or not. I would start with a carb rebuild.
I see I have the pink and purple bravo it is the 1994 bravo transporter. I've had it for 6 years and it still runs great! Most days it runs great and some days it runs like that
@@EVALM8 Nice!
Great video! I also have a question abt the tires. Do you think i should get the proline pro1023910 or the pro1015910? I am asking this because the pro1023910 is a lil bigger so it wil be faster. And also how is the balooning on the prolines that you are using in this video? I don't really do stunts so i don't want them to ballon.
Thanks! These low profile trenchers don't balloon much at all. The bigger version should give you a bit more speed, but I imagine they will also balloon a bit more, making it easier to control in the air. Bigger tires will also put more strain on your electronics, so gearing down a tooth or 2 might not be a bad idea. No complaints with the ones featured in the video, I just don't have any experience with the bigger version. Does that answer your question?
@3DudesRC do you think that the prolines are stronger that the stock ones? I already had 2 destroyed stock tires
@@retrox2104 Yes I would say they are. How did the stocks get destroyed?
@@3DudesRC i think it was because of the balloning ( it blew a part of the tire)
What size r the set screws for the penion gear
Not sure the exact sizing. What do you need one for? Should be able to find the part number in the manual.
@@3DudesRC I got it there 2mm cause I got those gears and did not put lock tight on them so they backed out
@@dubsanddingers6723 yep you'll definitely want a dab of lock tight in there!
@@3DudesRC should I get traxxas trx-4 or scx24 crawler
@@dubsanddingers6723 Depends what you're looking for. Trx4 will be a little more realistic looking and better on trails. SCX24 will be better for comps and has a ton of upgrades available.
I just found this awesome job! I had a buddy print this out and saw your forum about selling the hardware kits do you still have those available by chance?
Thanks! Yes, I can get one listed for you. Do you need tires as well? Or just the axles, tie rod for the hitch, bolts, and nuts?
@@3DudesRC everything but the tires please
@@juddwieser420 I replied with the link to purchase on Makerworld. Let me know how it turns out!
@@3DudesRC Will do man thanks again!
I had this same issue and discovered that the prop had been slowly sanded down from running close to shore till it won’t get up on plane. A new prop fixed my issue
@@quintinosborn3412 Yep the new prop did the trick!
Moter and T rate.?
@@nadeeshmaduranga9327 Either a 12T crawl master or 21T trail master. Can’t remember which one was in it at the time of filming for sure…
@@3DudesRC Thanks Buddy..
@@nadeeshmaduranga9327 no problem
How much water did it take on after your run?
@@rodblaine2514 A noticeable amount. Couldn’t give you an exact measurement, but more than it should be taking on lol.
@@3DudesRC Do you know where the water was coming from?
@@rodblaine2514 I assume mostly around the the canopy section, since it’s just plastic on plastic and a rubber band holding it down. Maybe a bit around the driveshaft sleeve also.
@@3DudesRC Got it. I just ordered a Blast because I wanted a compact boat that uses a common sized motor and electronics. I figure I can address its shortfalls. Also, you can't beat Traxxas parts availability/support.
@@rodblaine2514 👍Have fun with it! There is plenty to upgrade if you want to!
I know i'm a bit late here but I was wondering if the metal on metal gears had any impact on battery life? When I ran a metal spur on mine I only got about 15 mins of run time before it ran out of juice whereas with a plastic spur it would last about an hour.
@@sniperlocke56 Maybe slightly decreased when compared to plastic. I assume there is little more heat produced. Didn’t experience anything as drastic as you tho.
The difference is negligible. If you had an hour run time you should be getting around 58 min. Kinda sounds like you’re having issues with your battery or batteries.
@@3DudesRC alright, thanks for the help
@@sniperlocke56 No problem
I use the creality slicer program. it worked fine, but the file saved was in 3mf format whiche my Ender-3 V2 neo dont support. any way to convert it to G code?
Not sure. Mine has always saved to the proper format… sorry I can’t help. Maybe look into a forum or tutorial. There might be a toggle for formats in the settings somewhere. Good luck!
I have a rustler 4x4 xl-5 but upgraded motor and esc to a 6s hobbywing max 8 2200kv combo and also upgraded the whole drivetrain, it going crazy fast
@@xavierkranendonk That sounds like a riot! Can you even control it?!
Slow boat 😂
@@gregpadgett3060 yessir😂
You should design and build a trailer to pull this boat behind the FCX K5.
@@aaronm7533 Working on a trailer now!
Goin turbo and then fast reverse destroyed the gears inside on my panther and it sounds like that. And you need the antenna on the car to work
Thanks for the info!
That's cool thanks guys
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Nice! Really cool boat. I bought a TRX4 SPORT HIGH TRAIL a while ago.
Thanks! That’s sweet! What color did you get?
@@3DudesRC Green.
Awesome!
Good video. What's the best way to store the charger? Humidity must effect performance I'd imagine.
@@precise3291 Thanks! Never put much thought into storing the charger, just throw it on the shelf. Everything seems to work fine. The batteries, on the other hand, I always keep them in my lipo bag.
how did you install the hitch onto tour truck
@@Traxxasanddroneguy Slide into hitch receiver and screw in through the bottom.

I had no idea that the wheels were beadlocks. I have two of these Blazers. The tires look scale, just not so grippy. Nice update!
@@MysticRiverRC You learned something new then! Definitely makes it easy and a little cheaper to upgrade tires. Thanks for watching!
Why does everybody have the trenchers in the rear? They are amazing tires but yea why not badlands or something else😂
@@CJTJBI1 idk lol. Something about the trenchers and rustlers just seem to go together😂

It was a tough one for sure! Appreciate you watching!
Bro your videos never disappoint, in fact it's getting even better! I usually watch your videos on my desktop between work breaks as the large screens and hifi speakers really do your videos justice 👍😉 I own three fcx24s, but somehow the Power Wagon just has that perfect balance, it's simply the most capable crawler out of the three and my most favorite! With simple weighted wheels and proper tires alone, it's a beast!
@@bramsasongko5342 Wow thanks for the nice comment! The power wagon is a great little unit for sure. Thanks for taking the time to watch and leave a comment!

Thanks! It was an awesome spot. Glad you liked the edit! Appreciate you watching!
the 3d file isnt working? do you have a different one?
Unfortunately I had some download my files, which were licensed as NONCOMMERCIAL, and start selling them on eBay. So the files are not currently available. I wanted to make it easy for anyone wanting a trailer and thought I could trust people, but one individual had to ruin it for everyone. I'm I am currently working out a solution. They will most likely end up being behind a paywall, which I hate to do, but I worked too hard just for someone to go rip me off. I'll either make a video, community post, or leave another reply when I figure out a solution. Sorry.
Awesome! I just got home from camping out at walters all weekend lol
😂 Nice! We filmed this last weekend so we just missed you!
Looks like a lot of fun
It sure is!
I have questions
@@Videogame916 What are they?
@@3DudesRChow do you remove the motor?
@@parkerbook4108 Just have to loosen up the 2 bolts holding it. Kind of a pain to get to, have to go like 1/4 turn at a time with an allen key, 2.5mm I believe.
do you have the files to print this the printables ad is not valid
Eewwwwww, Ehyeewww! I'm looking at one on market place, good demonstration of the boat thanks
Glad it helped out!
The issue you had with the paint is a phenomenon called "orange peel" this happens when you have multiple layers on something curing at different rates and an uneven coat. Essentially the area that is thicker will have a lot more of the reducer of the paint in it and can affect the underlying layers as well. Just means slow down and allow for more time to dry between layers and get the coats more even. If you notice it only really happened in places where you put on a heavy layer of white at the start of that phase of painting.
Alright so I’ll disregard Traxxas’ claim of 15 minute dry time next time and wait a little longer between coats. Thanks for the advice!
can i put a more powerful engine in it?
You could definitely go up to a 4s capable system, but bigger than that and you’ll start running out of room.
