The two Galveston Railroad Museum ATSF F7s are out and about once again. They do move around. However the times when they move are random. They dont just sit there as display units for people to look at.

These F7 locomotive was built by General Motors By Electro motive Division from 1947 to 1967 powered supercharged 567 series making about 800 to 1200 hp

The one most odd thing they did to those passenger cars is one side is paint in the Railroad Museums colors while the other side is the remain of the original paint scheme

The 2 F units, painted for Santa Fe, never belonged to ATSF. Originally Southern Pacific, then to a short line in northern tier Pennsylvania, then Port Authority of Allegheny County for Pittsburgh commuter service, then Connecticut DOT to begin Shore Line East commuter rail New Haven to Old Saybrook. Note generator car converted from former Amtrak Heritage fleet baggage car, then Horizon fleet Cafe car and coach. Outer frame trucks by General Steel distinguishes em from similar design commuter coaches.
