Roland Ostheim Artist Talk at Historic Santa Fe Foundation
In honor of Microcosm | Macrocosm, an exhibition of new works by Roland Ostheim at the Gallery at El Zaguán, Ostheim and Gallery and Shop Manager Anne Kelly engaged in a conversation about Ostheim's unique work. The conversation hinged on Ostheim's use of old-world materials, such as hand-carved panels that incorporate old-world mixed media, including handmade gesso, clay, glass, and gold leaf, in creating contemporary artworks - and more. Although this exhibition has concluded, a selection of Roland Ostheim's work is still available at the HSFF Shop. For more information, please contact Anne Kelly at anne@historicsantafe.org.

I've looked into the cattle mutilations for decades and there is more to it than just animal predation. Some dead animals have been killed by predators, but to dismiss the whole phenomenon as just predation by wildlife is absurd. The blood near the cuts is often cooked which shows high heat has been used and predators can not produce this type wound. This woman is like the bride of Kenneth Rommel, a true monster.

Placida Romero was a relative to my cousins in Cubero. I really enjoyed the music and history Rob. We always sang Bendito. I have no idea what it's about but we sang it. That song at 36:00. I've never heard a song like that before. Did you know Paul McCartney came to New Mexico just to see the studio Buddy Holly recorded some of his songs in?

What do you think of the two human cases in Brazil, and the two young people alleged in Brecon Beacons in Wales? The two in Brazil were separate incidents. Rich D Hall covered the phenomenon in great detail. If you haven’t seen it.
