interesting, attendant interpretations. as far as rebellion, Rema has explicitly mentioned his desire to embody the spirit of rebellion as a reclamation of his lost/sold childhood, an experience that he reports to carry much anger about. i think as you mentioned he is highly influenced by Black American hip-hop artists, most notably Playboi Carti, who is known amongst other rappers to adopt anarchist, punk, metal, and other imagery with occult associations. He also mentioned being inspired by the Batman: Arkham Knight videogame which has a deeply dark mood (corresponds to the image you show at @13:00 with the Bat signal). Rema's interviews clearly exhibit that he has the lethal combo of intelligence (or maybe more wisdom?) and intention. Because of that I would love to hear more from him on precisely what within these particular images/moods/aesthetics speaks to him and makes him want to reproduce them. I think for young Black boys, especially those exposed to Black American rappers of the modern era that have doubled and tripled down on, if you will, aestheticized badness (and the peak of Black masculine "cool"), it is an attractive and accessible world of images to apply to oneself as one grows up (then on top of that he is actually experiencing the life of fame and excess that these very rappers have experienced). As a 2nd-generation Nigerian-American it is all super interesting to me. I wouldn't imagine Rema is up to anything more sinister than having full creative license to make stuff he thinks is cool. I worry less about the imagery and symbols and more about his experience within the music industry and the presence of a diverse group of role models. It seems with situations like his the likelihood of isolation is quite high, especially if the focus is to keep "Rema" alive and not the actual growing boy behind the imagery and music.
