Columbia Bands, Inc. is a non-profit community organization that gives non-professional musicians the opportunity to rehearse and perform challenging band literature while educating and entertaining the public in Howard County and other Maryland communities.
Participation in music ensembles and related activities is open to all. Qualifications for membership include interest and cooperation in organizational activities along with musical instrument proficiency. Please see "About Us & Membership Info" for contacts about joining our community!
Constituent ensembles:
Columbia Concert Band (est. 1983, dir. Michael Blackman)
Flute Cocktail (est. 2002, CBI c. 2012, dir. Dr. Linda Kirkpatrick)
Patuxent Jazz Band (est. 2015, dir. Matt Pisarcik)
