I would not recommend this to anyone. All MIDI outputs and inputs are specified as a 5 milliamp current loop. It is not recommended to divide this 5 milliamps in two with a passive device, as this will not result in 2x5 milliamps.

As far as clocking goes, don’t clock from the gate of the M32 because, if you have a sequence with rests, your clock will have rests too. Do this as an artistic decision by all means but I’d recommend clocking from the SubH, preferably with a splitter lead into the other two.

i have a sample 1 and i cant seem to get it to set different tones on different steps (2:52) when i hold the step and modify any settings it does it across all of the steps on that sequence, is this different on Sample 1?

Hey man I loved the video. It is very nice to know that I can chop up a custom sample and use different parts of it. I really was wondering if my brand new Mac M1 Pro is going to work with this device. I read a scary review where the guy said the app did not work on his Mac. This was some time ago and I saw that Korg last added their program recently this year, so I am hoping that it works on my computer. There are 3rd party apps too, so I am hoping that I can use those in the worse case scenario.

You can also make the Volca Sample 2 listen to midi on one channel. Just hold Record when turning on and select midi channel.

Thanks for the video! What I don’t get is how Modal say that there are 120 wave tables, but when you cycle through the sounds, it’s something like 28 waves only

I have been trying hard to rid myself of material desires, but wow oh gosh, there, I really want this thing. Unfortunately, I can't afford it. However, I do have a Korg Volca FM, a Korg Monologue, and a PO-12, and an iPad and a computer, and also an Arturia sequencer that is really cool but I haven't really learned how to use, yet. I'm in the process of recording an album, and on it I will also play all the other instruments. Guitar, bass, saxophone, drums, mandolin, another guitar, maybe a flute or a penny whistle. I think that if I tell more people about it, then I will feel more obligated to actually do it.

Can you set the level per step with this unit? And/or adjust velocity (basically the same thing) per step if you have, for example, a bunch of hihats on 16's

Any idea where i can get a tutorial for the song mode on the volca sample 2? Theres tutorials for song mode on the vs1 but the functionality appears to have changed with this latest model

Why didn’t you crank the decay times on the bonus plate or the dense plate. Show it off. Haven’t seen one review of anyone doing this. They just kind of play a couple notes and they’re like there it is. Why???

I will add that also on the 224 algorithm the decay is the mid range decay. I think you forgot to mention that and also the extra algorithms have the same functions so with the 224 plate you can get very long reverb trails using the decay, bass and treble.
