Hey Molly, thank you for your videos! Do you have a video on how much to expect when you first start on TPT (assuming one is doing the things they need for success) For instance, how long did it take you to get views and to begin to make sales, even if it was very little in the beginning. I know some have said that they made 5 or 7 dollars their first few months and some said they didn't make anything for months. What was your experience? If you do have a video, could you link it? Im tryna tutor but im only in 8th rn. I do have alg 1 hons right now but ik not sure if id get picked over other people like you that are older more experienced and have a higher chance of increasing knowledge

That part made me chuckle because when I was a kid, and I'm sure it's like this with a lot of kids, I didn't know that teachers had a life outside of school except for grading papers. lol And, so I would say, "What? What do you mean you have a husband and kids?" 🤣 2. I saw things in buckets in your garden. Whatcha growing? 3. Love your nails! (when you were in the car at Starbucks) All the different colors! I was gonna tease and ask if your kids did them, but I didn't want you to think that they look as if they were painted by 5th graders lol. Anyway, nice video. Enjoyed it.

This was really helpful! I'm in the process of starting my own tutoring business and will launch it in September. I have already started promoting. My question is this.. but first a long winded explanation... One of my promotional ideas is starting in mid-September when school really takes off with having a drop-in tutoring session once a week. Sessions are $5 for 15 minutes. If a child needs help with their homework or the teacher has told mom or dad that their child is not grasping a phonics lesson or they want someone to help their child read a book or work on writing they can scan the QR code on my flier see if their is an available time, reserve it, then bring their kid and materials with them. This is geared to mostly elementary. I figure I can help the community with those who can't afford tutoring, while also promoting longer tutoring sessions on other evenings. So with that... Might you have recommendations for what is best to have in a tutoring kit? Math manipulatives? Reading games or phonics manipulatives? Do you have any videos on tutoring kits? Thanks!!!

I figure as you have said in many of your other videos, to start your own business rather than join an online tutoring service. My father, after being a math teacher for more than 40 years, started his own tutoring business until his passing on at age 89!!!! Like father, like daughter 🤩. I do already have a website, a page on Facebook and some small flyers to hand out. It's been a few years since I tutored extensively. I worked for a small community college and tutored in person. I haven't done too much virtual tutoring but for the few times I did it, it is not a bad experience.

I'm so glad I got started. I began my store April 2024. It's been a lot of hard work, but it's fun as well. I've been working hard since the end of school in May giving it at least 40 hours per week. I now have 69 products up, and I hope to have at least 75 listed by the time school begins. I was so excited and encouraged to see my very first and only review so far since my store opened of five stars earlier today!
