I remember my parents would always be angry or just upset with me whenever I would draw the most upsetting and disturbing shit from the age of 5 lol

    There's a huge statistic that's not mentioned here. Over 75% of children with ADHD are not hyperactive. That's over half of boys and nearly all of the girls. In fact the actual figure could be as low as 15% have hyperactivity. This video makes it sound like it's predominately a boy issue. It isn't. This is why the condition is under diagnosed in females. The symptoms are often more subtle, and they don't fit the stereotype.

    Beg to disagree with dad but rigidity/lack of flexibility in thinking and planning, being overly sensitive to sensory impact, a lack of ability to discuss and understand feelings and emotions as well as displaying seemingly odd repetitive movements/stemming/rocking in the bath are all very common and typical autistic traits.

I started to not understand a things of what my teachers were saying and in highschool i didnt get the best grades in my native launguege subject and found out later at 16 years old of my ADD (adhd) now im 17 with still same struggles but graduated. Over 7 million kids have been diagnosed with ADHD/ADD in America. Just shy of 12% of all students. I can't believe teachers are still unaware of proper techniques to help their students. What are you being taught in college??? Mind blowing!!!

  • @greasyhitchball
    @greasyhitchball Месяц назад

    ADHD symptoms were first recognized around 1900. It blows my mind that the teaching community doesn't have a solution for this issue. It's inexcusable. When I was in school in the 60's, with ADHD, I was a pariah. It scarred me. When my son went through school, his teachers constantly complained. We felt pressure to put him on Adderall. It turned out to be a nightmare. This video outlines common sense. These tactics should have been the standard operating procedure 100 years ago. There's a line in a movie that goes, "Those who can't do, teach. And those who can't teach, teach gym." I completely agree and so does my sister who taught for a while. Putting kids on a drug that's one molecule away from methamphetamine is not the answer. In fact Adderall is banned in Japan and Europe due to its addictive nature. Shame on our teachers and the school systems they work for.

There is no medication for ODD and I see my son exhibits more ODD then ADHD. I really like the med Brillia (non-prescription / Homeopathic) that has showed results in less anxiety and less frustration which is a big help whereby we can have some decent conversations. How do you manage school and what's the best schools for an ODD kid. I live in the Tampa Bay, FL Area and I am finding it extremely difficult. Any recommendation will be helpful.
