Thanks for the comment. Yes in the past I've tried many times in the afternoon them last hour or two as the sun just starts hitting the trees and only gets dark and darker I'm done good in the afternoon at the prime time hours with crappies.

Thanks for the comment. They definitely can. from my experience I find them stacking up in different areas in the fall but it wouldn't surprise me if they do in the fall at certain dams or something. But from my experience in the fall I usually don't fish much perch at dams in the fall I find them in like backwater lakes stacked up in certain spots.

The spillway I was at has a gravel driveway going to it from the Minnesota side and it goes to a cement wall with a fence where people can jig right off of it or fish right off that wall when the water is really high a lot of people do that because it pushes them fish right against the wall. There's spillways that ain't like that and then there are some with like a wall or something.

Thanks for the comment. There is a dike road that goes on for like 4 miles so we took bikes or you can come in with a boat below the dam on the Minnesota side and cross and there's a beach that you can park the boat on.

Thanks for the comment. I know a snap swivel could lower your chances a little bit but also I don't want to be tying constantly I always fish with swivels of some type so I can pop on and pop off new baits as fast as possible to get to fishing.

@@blueshadowoutdoors4153 it is nice for the versatility of changing. Try the ones without the swivel at least they are at least a little smaller
