Love this. There's such a lack of engaging and accessible long form conversations about classical on RUclips, this was great.
Australian Dvorak.
Wow this is so interesting and beautiful. Worthy of a story and telling the world. Thanks Martha. I agree with you. Clever ASQ.
We don't need musicians anymore. We can do all this on computer now.
You sound so great!!! ❤❤🎉🎉
Doesnt sound mozart to me
Yes right? 🤷♀️🌊❤️🔥
Beethoven! The greatest composer ever.

That speed, precision and articulation....amazing! Just amazing!
Gorgeous
Is there a full version I could listen to?
Damn!! Making it look easy!! Wow!!
Superb composition, superb playing. But why the endless extreme closeups of individual players, and cuts every few seconds? Do you think we'll be bored if you just let us watch a fine professional ensemble playing without the video editor constantly interfering? This is a string quartet, not a Tom Cruise movie. And sneffels is right about the very amateurish focus problems, they're just insults to the players.
Yess second violin moment at the end! 😍
I love all their comments, their enthusiasm, and their hands on thoughtful take on this marvelous piece. Again, I'm full of admiration, but hope that if they do this kind of thing again (and they should because it's rare and important) they do away with the background muzak.
❤❤❤ bravissima. Have piacevole moments. Please visit Indonesia, Bali, Java. Mr and Mrs, i wish i can send you my simple works for String Quartet. May i know your email? Thank you. I am diqi in Indonesia)
Große Intensität, toller Klang...gern mehr!
Wunderbar...sensibel und energetisch. Großartige Klangqualität.
Who is the guest ? Please I’d like her name.
Her name is Noriko Tadano!
Hola, cuándo vais a venir a España???
Beautiful
Thanks so much! We're performing with Noriko again in Adelaide soon!
superb!
Where can I watch the rest?
Oh hell yes!

How lovely to hear how down-to-earth Dr Bennett is - so wonderfully Aussie!
Absolutely agree that much of musical appreciation (and performance) comes down to taste - so many people will say that this or the other artist is 'better' than another when what they really mean is that they prefer the sound of one over the other. I don't think the average audience member is any any position to judge who is 'better' - whatever that means.
I love the comment that the term 'self-made' is actually unclear because no-one does anything in a silo. People are, by nature, relational beings.
I agree that the Northern hemisphere is barely aware of Australian music apart from the very clever TwoSet Violin or brilliant jazz ensemble The Consouls which have large online followings. Edit: bgm is nice at the end but is Ketsa Aussie?
me and my friends are working on this piece and the trio and the movement before this we have a quartet and are freshman in highschool
How wonderful! It's such a great piece - enjoy exploring all it has to offer you!
Vi ho conosciuto in diretta radio, quando eravate a Roma. Poche settimane fa. Una sensazione di profonda intensità mi ha colpito durante l'ascolto. Grazie per il vostro lavoro. 🙏
Grazie mille!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Christopher 😊 What a lovely experience to have had to start 2024
This short is underrated
Nawwww thank you. Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful renditions of this lovely quartet by our papa...
Thank you, we're glad you enjoyed the performance.
Yes it it an enjoyable performance, though not sure who ‘…our papa’ is; the quartet was composed by Joseph Haydn.
@@elaineblackhurst1509 Mrs, you know perfectly well that even in Haydn times he was called in that way as a way to express affection, as i do.. A little less of pedantry could be welcome.
@@ferdinangenius Stating that the composers name is Joseph Haydn rather than the patronising, condescending and disrespectful ‘…our papa’ is not pedantry. Whilst the term was occasionally used appropriately by the very few people entitled so to do in the 18th century, even by the 1790’s, Beethoven’s circle was using it as a term of ridicule and contempt as shown by the story related by Ferdinand Ries about the trick played on ‘…old Father Haydn’ regarding who had completed some of Beethoven’s counterpoint exercises. You get a better sense of my objection to the term when put into context and into English; ‘Papa’ is worth mention only as a minor footnote in a biography in the same way that Schubert referred to Salieri as ‘Grosspapa’. Far too many commentators on RUclips think Joseph and Papa (plus the ludicrous ‘Franz’) are synonymous - they are not, and back to my original reply, you are absolutely right - ‘Beautiful renditions of this lovely quartet…’ [by Joseph Haydn].
Wow. I Googled mirror distortion and this is one of the hits. What a surprise when I was only looking for mirrors that don’t distort… This piece and the performance is more than amazing. Has no one else seen this? Am I the first and only to comment? Why? Genius work and performance.
Hi Martha, thanks so much for your very kind words! We really appreciate it. Yes, it's a pretty amazing piece of music, isn't it! :-)
Excellent!
Thank you! We're glad you enjoyed it :-)
Excited for next year. Happy New Year ASQ and everyone involved ❤
Thank you-happy new year to you, too! We look forward to seeing you this year, Darren :-)
Is there a Long version?
Is there long version?
theres multiple movements this is just the last movement of the piece
😮 mind blown, incredible piece and rendition
Thank you very much :-)
❤❤❤❤
Thank you :-)
Interrupting the song in the middle to place an ad? Making it necessary to get pu, go to the computer and click again to get through the ads, or else the ads play forever? Go to hell, Google RUclips. You already censored all the violent, bloody Ukrainian atrocities in 2014-15, like strafing civilians and bombing schools. Take your ads, your perverted "search" algorithm, and your twisted Disinformation/Fake "News" and shove it where the sun don't shine.
Please, what is the music?
Hi Chris, it is Alfred Hill's String Quartet No.3, 'The Carnival: III. Scherzo 🙂
Thank you. In your hands it sounds just lovely. @@australianstringquartet959
