This is my vlog for learning music production and practicing live performances.
Practice Jam 08 - Wednesday Vibes with OctTone: Loquelic with Plaits in harmonic strings mode
Both voices are sequenced by the amazing Oct Tone from the amazing team of Glasgow Synth Guild!
- The otherworldy bass/lead voice is Loquelic Iteritas from Noise Engineering patched into NE Electus Versio. Wavefolding is modulated manually with a fun little Make Noise PrssPnt.
- The second (plucky lead) voice is a Mutable Instruments Plaits clone (from After Later Audio: Pixie) in harmonic strings mode, patched into a Make Noise Mimeophon. Its notes are occasionally transposed using a handy slider (Acid Rain Technology Navigator) and a precision adder (Noise Engineerign Quantus Pax).
Drums are from Arturia Drum Brute Impact, sent through guitar effect pedals (compressor [TCE Forcefield], ove...

Practicing mixing and the composition of two voices on this minimalistic cover version of an awesome song: Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) by Eurythmics. (Drums were dialed back because they would've been clipping otherwise, but probably it was just the compressor set up incorrectly which made them quite muffled...) Pretty much the first practice session in January where I sort of got the basic groove of the jamming, finally. The performance is quite flat, static, colorless, rigid, and all in all, rough around the edges, but this is ground 0. #jamuary
