Any idea as to what the alignment is in regards to levers and gears. I can't seem to get it in a position where everything is working using controls? I can physical move the cams and make everything work but when I install main gear it just doesn't seem to be aligning correctly?
Did you do a relearn after by pulling the fuse for 10 sec or via scan tool? as long as you have the levers in the proper channel or grove in rear of large gear it should be properly aligned. The flaps I would either have both in open or closed positions
dealt with this a few days ago good to know I’m not the only one lol best part is the service manual says nothing about the verification of this seal during the install of the cover rather it brings it up in the upper pan install good job nissan!
@@williamvieau-kp5yh Thank you, yeah the mechanic charged about 2k. The tensioner was loose it seems. Nissan dealership was gonna charge 8 - 10k cuz according to them the engine had to be removed (stupid). But anyway yeah its done and now the car is driving fine.
Thanks for the tip. Just found this vid before I did. the job on a 2017. There is a rubber oil pan seal on the bottom of the timing cover that you have to compress by drawing down the bolts. Your tip was spot on. You have to remove the dowel pins first going back together.
I'm having MODE door actuator issues with my 2014 Malibu. Air will not stop blowing to the floor. Is there a way to just manually close the door to keep air from blowing to the floor?????
@@williamvieau-kp5yhSo which vent setting puts both replacement gears in the center spot? Would setting it to whichever is the center, would it make it easier to just put the replacements in after that?
We tried to take the lower panels off. Got the airbag off, but could not get the panel the glove box sits into

what was the actual problem? what the air not switching to dash/defrost?
How did you get bolt from top of main actuator gear?
Are you in tennesse by chance, we were just quoted 6000 by nissan on our 2017 pathfinder, it only has 107k miles. we are so dissapointed.
Why my 2015 Malibu have door actuators on the passenger side behind the air passenger side next to the blower or the 2015 are different?
That would probably be dule climate control which they almost all are or just the heat/ac and temp control
Blend doors only control direction of air to certain vents

sure but you probably don't want that if you live in acold climate your feet will get cold lol... Just fix it right and be done with it
Before making any replacements first check your fuse. It might just need to be recalibrated by pulling it out for 20-30 seconds
Does the vehicle have to be on to recalibrate?
yes i believe it needs to be ignition on but motor does not have to be running
