I know this is 6 years old. I have been building rifles for 15 years. Not an expert but I have some knowledge. I have never blueprinted an action. There is zero need unless for some reason it is wayyyyy out of spec. I have never seen one. I just looked through my files and I have built and/or rebarrelled a total of 41 Remington 700s. I have 8 personally. I guarantee sub MOA or better and never had a customer come back and complain. All of mine except one shoots under 1/2 inch groups. The one exception has a crap barrel that I wanted to try and will never buy a McGowan barrel again. It shoots 1 inch but that is as good as it will get. I lap lugs and square the receiver face, thats it. That is all you need to do. Mausers just lap lugs because they do not index off the receiver face. In my opinion, Blueprinting a Model 700 is a feel good thing waste of money. Kind of like fluting a barrel.

Everytime you mount a round object in a chuck the roundout will be .001 to .003 (thousandth out) . THE OUTSIDE HAS NO RELATION TO THE Lands and grooves in the barrel. What was the total accuracy gain/loss before and after? The only improvement that can be made is recrowning the muzzle.
