Wait so each frame did you draw it in aseprite or in photoshop?
The reference frame at the very beginning was drawn in Photoshop, and the rest of the animation was drawn in Aseprite. I’m using a theme for the UI called Minimal Dark HD with some minor changes I made to enlarge the border you click on to drag frames.

What brush do you use for pixel art, pencil ✏️ tool? How do you get that pixel like effect
Yes, it’s the default pencil tool in Photoshop. Any brush without anti-aliasing will work! Different programs have different names for it.

This was really interesting to watch. I was trying to work out what you meant by wash as I may have missed things at the start. I can also see where I’m going wrong as I always start with a small brush and stick with the small one. I feel like I need to take more of the approach that you have with the colour checking against grayscale. Along with starting off with big less detailed sections to capture the piece.
“Wash” is a traditional painting term referring to the technique of using a large paintbrush to paint the canvas with either one color or a gradient of colors, typically with a lot of water or solvent added to the paint to dilute it (hence the name). The point of a wash is to help establish a mood for the painting, as it affects the perception of the surrounding colors (color relativity/color constancy) and in mediums where the paint stays wet or is slightly transparent, it also affects the ways colors mix. It can either be applied to a blank canvas, or on top of some paint that has already dried (some painters call this a “tint” - it’s used similar to how color adjustment or overlay layers are used in digital art).
