Lauren’s first Sitka Blacktail buck
She froze her butt off and hiked 12 miles to get her first Sitka Blacktail. We were constantly racing the tides and darkness but Lauren got it done.

Weather window gave me the opportunity to run down and deer hunt for the day. Only saw one deer, but it was a good buck. Brown bears are definitely still out and about on November 1. Be careful out there
Rough start to Texas teal season.
Просмотров 5403 года назад
Early teal season started off a little rough this year. Add people set up right on top of us and we even got peppered a few times. We're heading South East Texas gulf coast on public land. Lots of birds but too many sky blasters.

Solo Texas Swordfish 80 miles offshore with the banax 1000
Просмотров 12 тыс.4 года назад
15 hour Solo offshore trip leads to my first swordfish. I took my 25 foot ranger 75 miles offshore on a single engine to catch a single fish. Burn up my Banix but still landed the fish of a lifetime. Plenty of mistakes were made but in the end everything worked out. #Rangerboats #swordfish #deepdrop #banixkigan Power On by SilentCrafter soundcloud.com/user-907904720 Creative Commons - Attributi...

Went for a quick midday fish in West Bay. Started on the north end but water was too deep. South end produced some fun sight casting. #skimmerskiff #texasflyfishing #carbonfibertiller
Texas duck hunt opening day

Catch went back to the public marsh for opening day of big duck season 2019. It’s kind of slow had to make some changes to the decoys. Went a little too far back in the marsh. Most ducks held up in the front. #prodrive #texasduckhunt #mudmotor

Texas Duck scouting , redfish and getting the ProDrive stuck
Просмотров 17 тыс.5 лет назад
Ran back to the public marsh to do some fishing with a little duck scouting. Not enough ducks to hunt the spot but an amazing fishing day. Hopefully some cold weather pushes them down. Once again the ProDrive XD40 got me out of a tight situation. #prodrive #mudmotor #texasduckhunting

Nice video! I'm about to buy my first fishing kayak and I'm looking for spots like this. Can you give me more details about where you were fishing, where I can launch from, whether it's close enough to a launch spot to get to by kayak? Really appreciate any help....not many fly fishermen around to use for advice! Cheers!
Hey man I see your in the CG. Watched your sword video super cool. You still in texas im CG too? Hit me up.
Where do you fish out of?
I think your video has convinced me to get a Pro Drive! 😊
you will not regret it i have one and ill never go back to anything els
WOW!
Congrats!
loved that vid. well done mate
Pure nightmare sauce watching this evolution, and totally awesome! Are you a Coastie or just landed the fish near a CG station? Nice fish....
Awesome! You did exactly what I plan on doing one day when I can catch the right weather window.
Bro, just get you a tigra 50 just in case because whatever Reel you got back there is not getting the job done
Hell of a battle. Way to stick with it
lol fresh water ice, for saltwater fish... smh unreal ....
Get a Tanacom 1200 and you will never look back... :)
banax 1000 is the " Caint be fucked buying better gear" reel....
That'd be my dream I've got everything but a harpoon. Amazing luck, congratulations
Great video bro. You said you would review the reel, I'd like to know what you think of the Banax 1000
I don’t know why I thought you were taking a leak in your kitchen lol
Awesome 👏. Congratulations
Never Surrender! Great fish. I’m gonna search your channel for the cooking. PS-thanks for the zoom in on your beautiful girl! Great job landing that one too! Tight lines sir!
Awesome video! Congrats on your catch. I must say it's kind of dangerous doing it by yourself and into the dark, if something goes wrong u toasted. I just bought a Banax 1000 and i don't think they are made for swordfishing, but you got the job done. Is the reel still working? Would you recommend it?
Got them a balls!!! single engine solo trip you!!
You need the Banax 1500TM twin motor reel the 1000's big brother they will pull up any Swordfish!
Amazing 👍
Glad i watched this video before i ordered this reel
Quint needed a bigger boat. You need a bigger reel. 😂 just bought a Banax 1000. We’ll see how she does. Excellent fight man!
What a battle! Thanks for bringing me along.
Great video. Just a thought I hate losing 50. Dollar lead. I use 2 in. P.v.c caped on both ends filled with concrete drill small hole put a peace of wire thru let concrete dry.
Go kick your dog what a waste of video
I hope you report this to Banax so they can replace your reel as well as improve their gears & equipment to a higher performance level, the level needed to use their products without worry about such things happening to us when we fish.
Way to stay with it. Hard work does pay off. Great job
Great fish brother, makes it even better on a solo trip getting it done all by yourself that's what a real man does
Amazing catch brother. And solo. Crazy. I'm not far from you I'd you ever need another. Got my own gear n always pay for fuel. Keep up the content
Would’ve been great to know while I lived in Texas. I Moved to Key West
@@sctowey5 I just got back from key west. Well stayed a week in marathon n explored all the keys.
Great video, I felt like I was there, way to persevere
Ha! I'm jealous. That's awesome !!
Yeah, you NEVER reneg on going with your buddy offshore. A friend doesn't let friends go 80 miles offshore by themselves, even if it means getting up early while hungover and puking on a 4 hour boat ride. Take some Goody's, pound down some Gatorade and grab your pair. That being said, going offshore after big fish alone is not a bright idea. It's ok and nothing ever happens, until it isn't and it does.
I have to agree… both ways…. But honest man…. Not smart doing that by yourself that far offshore… when shit happens, it happens fast. Having a second person can keep you alive in even a minor incident on a boat. Hope you take a second thought next time
What time of year is this
Question so is the reel rated to handle a swordfish or can the drag not handle it. In the market for one.
It’s more of a deep drop reel. It can definitely handle a small sword but anything over 120 lb is probably too much.
And I highly recommend Frigate sales out of Louisiana. They repaired the real for free and really quick
Checkout the new banax 1500 designed for swords
👍
Where did you go guys go shoot at.
Well you earned that fish.
Big man freaking out, says everything twice before falling.
yeah guys like that just ruin all the fun
Man that is awesome 👏 good job
You Da Man!!! Never commented on videos before; but what a great video. I have done solo-trips looking for giant tuna, in Newburyport MA. And this was my dream, Congrats. TL
Thanks. It was a bucket list for me I just had to get out and do it
