👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Watching again in October, 2024 !
❤❤❤
These songs emerged out of slavery. Slaves were not abandoned. It is said that white churches could not understand why God turned up in black churches as much as He did. He loves us all but He turns up when we need and seek Him with all our heart.
Stunning!!
just like a queen ❤
Beautiful
Bonjour! Magnifique interprétation. Serait-ce possible d'avoir la partition de guitare par hasard ?
After hearing that in a church service, there would be no need for a sermon.
his speaking voice sounds like kermet the frog and thats why he doesnt have a deep rich sound to his singing voice.......
Listening again to this amazing rendotion in August 2023...❤❤❤
I specially love this song cause I think one day I will sing it , I just discover this woman is amazing guauua beautifull well done 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 maybe one day I will do this
Deep river, my home is over Jordan. Deep river, Lord, I want to cross over into camp ground. Oh, don't you want to go to that gospel feast. That promised land where all is peace.
Que linda voz
Beautiful voice
Such inwardness 🙏🏻😔
Sensacional, emocionante! Bravooooooooo Bravoooooooooo
Great performance of a great song. Great to hear you sing, Steve!
Listening this marvelous rendition in November, 2.021...
I cried when I heard her sing this. It was not the first time one of her performances brought me to tears.
I loved the way you singing and especially your voice, Bravo 👏👏👏
Beautiful voice & performance Dan. Bravo!
Wow, Wow Wow! How did I not know about Ms. Daltirus before now? I am so glad I have learned.
That glorious, silken mezzo and her astounding technique are used only in service to the song. And that's as it should be, and rarely is. Now listen to the great Paul Robeson sing it.
Listen to The Wings Over Jordan Sing it
She sung the wrong climax note...maybe this is a different arrangement than what recitalists normally sing. Something here just doesn't work.
That wrong climax note is written in the Moses Hogan arrangement which she sings beautifully in this performance. So, she sang the correct note…
Hearing this for the first time at Ruth Bader Ginsberg's Lying in State ceremony I was so overcome with emotion that tears rolled down my cheeks.
What a voice! Her voice is mesmerizing. And a beautiful tribute to our notorious Ruth Baden Ginsberg. RIP
Ruth Bader Ginsburg is an odd name to mention with regard to spirituals and resting in peace. Would you that an abortion should be done unto you? (Matthew 7:12). “I respect my mother`s right to bodily autonomy” is not the answer in your heart. And you know it.
Do we just ignore this is crap vocalism? Her voice was in disrepair here, and even more so for rhg memorial. A huge hole.in the voice,.flat,.top in tatters. It's time to stop glorifying mediocrity.
What's happened to her voice?
Perhaps it is your ear that is in disrepair, the performance was excellent.
I suppose you can do it better? This sickens me... she is blessed with a beautiful voice and here someone like you comes along and pretends to be God. No man... keep your shitty comments to yourself.
She, Denyce Graves, sang this at Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s Lying in State at the U.S. Capitol. So very beautiful and moving. Thank you.
It was on tv the other morning while I was in my patient's room and it was so breathtakingly beautiful we both teared up listening, I had to come looking for it...
Whoa! I went to high school with this guy. Everyone knew he’d succeed, so cool.

wow. can we learn more abut this strong soloist?
I love Kevin Deas and he is powerfully moving here.
Greetings from Barbados. Simply Beautiful. Jessye norman would have approved
Beautiful - soulful - moving. All the white people behind you could’ve smiled - or something. Warn the next group who asks to video tape you! The folks behind you need to GET ENGAGED in what they hear! How could they not!!
Amazing!
I want to go where she goes.
She has a marvelous voice and the song fits her well. Several unexpected resolution however did not serve the performance well. My opinion!
She was excellent throughout this performance, including the resolution.
Awesome!
Lovely and yummy throughout each passaggio. A remarkable singer. Lovely.
Brillant!
Deep..Really..Emotional too, great artist.
lovely. any relations to Jester?
A tear came to my eye..ahhh
Gorgeous.
excellent
Just wonderful my diva.. Simply wonder!
Dear Kelly Ann, What a lovely performance of "It's All I Have to Bring!" I am Ernst Bacon's widow, and if you need any help locating his songs, please contact me at ellenwbacon@gmail.com. Best wishes, Ellen Bacon
What a wonderful idea -- to bring so many disciplines together, sparking off each other, artists inspiring artists -- and the public at large gets to enjoy the result(s)! I can imagine the amount of work it took to organize all this...and can only hope that -- hard work notwithstanding -- projects such as this one continue to be created. Bravo!
What can I say? Given all the accolades I can muster, let alone that it's my arrangement. My major comment(s): THANK YOU GOD & THANK YOU LISA. Most gratefully, Jacqueline Hairston (aka Jacqui Hairston)
