Erik Satie ~1909~ Songe-Creux (rev. Orledge 2016)
Following @wamateurpiano37's remarks about the revised version of the piano sheet published in 2016 by Robert Orledge, I found this recording by Bertrand Chamayou in which he is playing the last bars included by Orledge which were absent from the sheet published by Robert Caby in 1968. He is also repeating the first eight measures as published by Caby.

Leopold Godowsky - Triakontameron, Book I (Scherbakov)
Triakontameron is a suite of 30 pieces in six volumes for piano composed from 1919 to 1920 by Leopold Godowsky; each was written in a single day, and all are written in three-four time. The entire suite took Godowsky over five months (7 August 1919, Seattle - 20 January 1920, Chicago) to complete, with twenty being composed in Seattle, and the rest being composed intermittently between Los Ange...
Franz Liszt/Robert Franz - Er ist gekommen in Sturm und Regen (S488, solo piano transcription, 1848)
The songs of Robert Franz (1815-1892) are relatively unknown outside the German-speaking world, but he holds an interesting place for his ability to produce a song so devoid of extraneous matter such as introductions, codas or developments as to be positively aphoristic. Many of the songs which Liszt transcribed are of this nature, and Liszt’s transcriptions remain, in general, very close to Fr...

Erik Satie ~1918~ Socrate (orchestra, 1972 recording)
"Socrate", composed between 1917 and 1918 at the request of the Princess of Polignac, is a three-part work based on texts by Plato (Symposium, Phaedrus, Phaedo). It was Jane Bathori who created ("first performed", "premiered") the piano version in April 1918, accompanied by Satie himself. "Socrate" is representative of his "white music", which can be also heard in the "Nocturnes". The orchestra...

Erik Satie ~1908~ Petite Sonate (full version)
The "Petite Sonate" (Little Sonata) score was recently found at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France and has only been recently published by Robert Orledge. On the score, it is mentionned "Third lesson" and it was an assignment that Satie brought to Roussel, who made the following comment about it: "It is conventional... too conventional for you... You should not work too ironically. Do not get...
Reményi "Fly, My Swallow" (100 Gypsy Violins of Budapest, 1996)
The 100 Gypsy Violins of Budapest are unconventional but outstanding performers. They have no conductor per se, only a few leading violinists. This piece of music is a good legacy of their virtuoso talent, and one of my personal favorite orchestral performances of all time. It consists of a 4-minute long introduction (orchestra and violin soloists answering to each other), followed by three the...

I love cabbage soup
it can be played on organ?
Yes I can't see any reason why one couldn't.
this piece is so delightfully weird, i love it

1891! Satie era l'Ives francese! 💖💖💖💖💖
Shit is unironically good, what a wonderful song to listen to everyday.
AHEAD of his time, is the proper way of saying it.
What a GEM is to listen to Satie works, I feel something I never feel with any other composer. It's special, it's magical, I can't explain.
i heard this song in the background of a video once and after one month of searching i found it
Congratulations!
Bellissimo 💖💖💖💖💖

I love how his nocturnes talks to each other, however I wished he composed more well structured works... I'm not complaining, but I miss a lot works such as "ballades" from him, but, we can agree this is what makes Satie himself.
Thank God, I'm able to listen to an Satie Sonata, it's pure joy. Thank God for this finding.
This is the pure form of Harmonies, this is music itself. I love Satie.
💕
So happy a vocalversion exists- when I read his letters and found out I knew it would be utterly amazing
I always come back at it, one of the best pieces ever written, too much ahead of it's time! May Erik Satie rest in peace.

Hi, this version seems rather different from the Preludes we usually find on the internet. May I ask where do you get those sheets musics? Thank you very much for your hard work.
It's from Robert Orledge's edition of complete piano Satie works. You can download Le Fils des Étoiles piano sheet here: pdfupload.io/docs/ca4ad8e6
@@eriksatieofficiel Merci infiniment!
I made a stealth horror section in a game of mine with this music - it fits almost too well xD

Pure, utter genius
Chords at 0:56 are so slick and smooth…
Bon courage
Endless imagination and fun are my best descriptions for Satie :3

Classical music can really make you feel some unexplainable emotions, can’t it?
Maybe it’s like wine. The more time that goes by, the better it gets. 😊

I wonder if Bill Evans ever heard this piece? Sounds like voicings he would use!
this interpretation is not the best but still better than Caby's 1968. I prefer the one from "Complete piano work by Djan Gorisek & Jane Manning. it is part of the six pièces de la période (the best set by Satie IMHO). You have to listen to the entire set. It is in fact representing the evolution of music from Bach to what he considers to be the future. The six and last one (this one) is for me the pinnacle of Sati's genious. He invented modern blue-jazz, equivalent to what we could hear with Keith Jarrett. Not only Satie knew perfectly Music History, but he was miles away from his more popular friends of his time (Debussy, Ravel, etc ...). The version is mind blowing. You would think Keith Jarrett invented it. And that's when you realize how incredible and completely underrated Satie was, and still is.

this version sounds more like played during the romanticism era, which Satie hated by the way.
There seems to be a problem. I noticed that the klemm edition was removed. Anyone wonder why? I wanted to get that copy
