what is the differnece between main vs targt playlist?

Dude !!! How to split damage 2 or damage in different outputs??? Like other intruments like drumLab or Studiodrummer??? It is that possible???? Where are the f.....g outputs in damage???

Hi again Tormod, I think this has got to be the final question as it feels unfair to take advantage of your generosity with your time. I am new to this and am stuck at a point where I'm unclear how to proceed. I have all Midi rendered to audio and am sitting with some Strings =Hi short and strings =Hi long routing to the ==Strings high group. In terms of rendering to get to a final single audio file. Do I do something magical to use the output of ==String High to render the =Hi short and =Hi long strings to a single High strings audio file. Or is the == strings high group simply a place to use effects that can apply to the whole group. And I must always render everything on an individual track basis using render in place to combine to one file making sure I select the relevant options to capture all effects in the signal path. I have re-written this bad boy about 15 times to try to make it easy to understand - sadly this is the best I have managed to do 🙂

Hi Tormod, I am using your excellent template which you presented so well - thank you. I created it with you as we went along. One thing I can't do is route a group to an FX channel which I suspect may make sense but I just can't understand why. Scenario is I open the =String high group and then try to send this to the FX REV Strings high channel. I have all the options available to me except FX REV strings high. The same happens if I try the = strings low, all FX channels except FX strings low are available and so on through all the groups. I'll bet there's a really good reason for that I just don't know what it is. Be very grateful if you have any ideas?

Thank you so much! I was losing my mind because Cubase was not showing newly created Kontakt outputs no matter how much I restarted the program. The "Save current output section state as default for" step did the trick. I can't believe how unnecessarily complicated all of this is! Although you've been very helpful, I do want to say I agree with what someone said: cutting the video to skip thinking or umms would make it shorter and, most importantly, more enjoyable and helpful. I'm trying to switch to cubase from Logic Pro. Logic has a function which is called where the regions (midi and audio) take up the name of the track). Is there a feature like that in Cubase 13?

How do I do this with multiple regions across multiple tracks?

There is no way to sort expression maps ? What if you have a few hundred ? Can't even sort in alphabetic order, lol. Steinberg really disappoints, and they should learn from Presonus.

Hi T. I didnt see any routing of the instrument tracks. Am I to assume I direct route each track to its respective V1 1 - = Strings high short track, and then allow the routing of the = == === to take care of the rest? I saw your easy way to bounce out your 8 or 9 === group tracks, but without the intruments routing to them I wasnt sure what else to do.

i can't rename the selected track when pressing shift + enter. What is the key command called (in the key command editor) so that I can re-assign it?

wait what? should the scroll wheel just scroll through the project (up & down). That is at least what it does for me

Thank you for this clear video. Something that is definitely worth mentioning is the following. In Cubase, if you have a note with an articulation assigned, then after you move the note left or right, the articulation will stick to the note! This is so particularly important. You know, I come from Studio One and when you move a note there, the articulation assignment doesn't go with it! that's really hell. I am currently exploring Cubase but am becoming more and more convinced to make the switch for good.
