Something that always killed me about the assassin's creed series was that "silent" assassination technique where they cover the victims mouth with one hand and stab them in the lower back with their hidden blade in the other hand. It always kills the victim almost immediately. That makes NO sense and it is in every game. There is literally nothing in that area of the body so vital that a stab wound from a small knife would kill in a few seconds.

Maybe you should learn how to throw knives first?

I can throw baseballs at 95mph, yes a thrown knife can be lethal.

Per the late Dwight McLemore's research, both tomahawks and warclubs were thrown by both Indians as well as Colonists with the understanding even if they hit with the shaft, that could cause enough pain or concussion to allow the thrower to close in with the knife and finish the job that way.

The eye shot actually wouldn't be immediately lethal, don't get me wrong it would suck like hell but you don't need the front part of your brain to survive, a kill shot has to hit the back of the brain closer to the spinal cord

Generally, a musket shot to an arm or leg would hit a bone and require amputation. In the musket era, a torso shot was almost certainly fatal. They had no way to stop internal bleeding.
