You wouldn't believe the chaos I witnessed at Woodstock '94! I was right there in the thick of it during Green Day's performance. The energy was electric from the start, but things really got wild when they played "When I Come Around." The rain had turned the entire field into a mud pit, and the crowd was loving it. I remember standing pretty close to the stage, and out of nowhere, people started hurling mud everywhere. It was like a scene from a movie - mud flying through the air, people slipping and sliding, and the band egging us on. At one point, Billie Joe Armstrong even threw some mud back at the crowd! It felt like a giant, messy, rebellious celebration. The mud fight only escalated as the set went on. I got completely drenched in mud, but it was worth it. The band kept playing despite the chaos, and the energy was off the charts. I even locked eyes with Billie Joe for a split second - he was grinning like a maniac, clearly having the time of his life. By the end of the performance, I was exhausted, filthy, and exhilarated. It's a memory that's stuck with me ever since. Being part of that moment, feeling the raw energy and the sheer fun of it all - it was an experience like no other. Even though I had to spend hours cleaning mud out of my clothes and hair afterward, I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. Woodstock '94 was truly unforgettable!

Woodstock 94 was mud of the mostly harmless kind. Woodstock 99 was mud of the mostly unhygienic kind and a shitload of plastic/glass bottles. 99 could only have ended the way it did thanks to awful planning and a crowd that was desperately trying to emulate 94, no matter how gross and disgusting it was.

When I first watched this I thought the bass line was music put in afterwards. When I realised that Mike kept playing the whole time I was shook, that’s so impressive!
