Id order the ome that comes with spindle if i get a 240z or a 280zx turbo
What exhaust set up.
🔥🐐🔥
I have a last year (1984) of datsun S12 I did the poly bushings for the subframe, control arms, and sway bar mount. The R200 diff mount was not available....so I used 3M window weld to fill in the bushing. It did tighten the rear end handling quite a bit. The old bushings where quite bad. While I did this I did rear wheel bearings, axle shafts and put a custom aluminum drive shaft I Love the 240-280 Datsuns! The S12 is a mix of Z31 (rear suspension and S130 front suspension mine is 84 200sx R200 nismo 3.15 mild built ford 302 with Haltech engine control
I see thi is a older video but did you have any tip on hooking up the fuel pump to the new efi?
What happened to this channel and the Z. It's 3 yrs later. May 2021 ???
nice mod, what is the advantage of changing it to HEI? is it considered an upgrade? I need to get new ones and wonder if I should do something like you did there.
Thank you sir for the great idea. I used a similar trick I came up with thanks to this video. I cut a 6 inch piece of 1 5/8 unistrut and slid it between the spring and put a piece of 20 guage sheet metal on top.
How is the EZ system still holding up?
Th EZ kit seems to be holding up fine. just a few minor tweaks im working on like the idle when warm i think its something to do with my temp sensor
How are your expierence so far with the Kit?
The kit has been good just few small tweaks i have to deal with but over all run the car just fine
My kit didn't say what injector wiring to what cylinder. Do you have any info?
Are you referring to the fuel injectors? Shouldn't matter which you plug them into, the fuel injectors are 'batch' fired, meaning they all spit at the same time, no particular order.
@@oddpostchannel yeah figured that out lol thanks
I installed a FAST EZ EFI kit on my 82 ZX and it is a HUGE difference in acceleration response, torque and overall driving enjoyment. I did have to tie my fuel relay in with one wire behind my glovebox. Would recommend a cam, headers and a better ignition system like MSD 6AL. Good system, but for the money a MS3 is also a good, controllable system. Will not work for turbo applications.
What do you do with all the wires on the ignition controller and will this work on a 76 280z?
Hello I put the wires tucked in the area near and under the break booster and if your car is a and EFI controlled car it will work this kit just replaces the old EFI system
Badrock Chopshop hello. so you ran the wires from passenger side kick panel out to near the brake booster?
I was thinking on mounting the actual hei inside the old icu and re wiring it in there but you’d set up looks a lot simpler
So old video but I have to say. You saved me 400 bucks. That’s what Jeep wanted to install two bump stops. I used a block of oak furniture leg since I don’t weld. But it worked and took maybe a total of an hour. Thanks for the tip.
Wow, great idea!!
I had never see a 71/72 GTO until recently. They are nice! I like that the nose sticks out more than the 70. Very cool.
How did you connect the fuel pump relay wire from the ecu, given that you removed the stock fuel pump relay?
I did nothing with the fuel pump relay or any wiring concerning the pump The program asks for fuel pump pressure and the fuel pump works off the ignition
Badrock Chopshop Thanks, figured it out. Good video!
Other wise known as "A Japanese Ferarri" Kick ass car...Ive got 2 !.
cool thanks
How tall is your level 2 or 2.5 inches?
i did the 2 inch front and 1 inch in the rear
Very cool, car looks amazing. I just subed to your channel, can you return the favor.
i made my to 280z a dual su carb setup , do you think that will work on mine ??
I wanna ride
Good idea to install. I can't even get the old bump stop out from my 2016 jk. Wish you would have shown removal of the old bump stop. thanks
sure what i did was use a pry bar and worked them right out . now my bump stops where in bad shape rotting and came out easily
What seats are those?
they are from JEGS 150 a piece the sport seats
Okay, thanks.
Do you have any rubbing problems with your wheel and tire set up? I’m trying to determine what size wheels and tires to buy.
No problems at all no rubbing any where
sorry for the late reply but no problems at all remember i do have adjustable coilovers on the car to adjust the ride height
Hi, just wondering how this install is holding up? Looking at getting this for my 280zx.
The install is working just fine it seemed like once i got it installed and programmed it took a hand full of drives to get the computer to figure out and adjust to differrant drive conditions
@@badrockchopshop7792 hey did you use the oem injectors of change out to high impedance once?? I just bought this kit thinking it uses stock ones but the instructions say high impedance only. Z cars have low impedance stock :(
Looking forward to a video on the seat brackets, are the new ones lighter than the stock?
Nice gregg.....too short....but to the point*)

That was cool
Hey good job so far! How hard was it to install those poly bushings?
Not so bad just taking the old bushings out was the biggest pain
That was cool gregg
Do you have to measure fuel pressure .....and how would u get an accurate reading for rich and lean performance....or will the ECU figure this out for you once you input the car parameters and info?.....should temp be above 150 and below 210 or just at driving temp. For max hp....I'm assuming no changes to mass airflow sensor if equipped.....sonny
I believe the ECU should make the adjustments and the temp needs the be at 160 for the ECU starts to learn and take roughy 50 miles to completely determine a tune
What mm size is the throttle body.?
Any hesitation on running all sparkplug wires bundled?...crossfire problems....just wondering gregg
runs good the shop but have not been able to shake it down on road because of the endless winter we are dealing with
You stengaaaaar.....good to see you.....how's the GTO.
Sonny whats up GTO is good
Looking great man! Glad to see the car went so someone whose doing it right.
I got my kit with the handheld upgrade included. If you received the kit recently then they included the old controller only because FAST sent ZCAR depot mismatched kits where they had the new controller but none of the correct communication cables. I received mine mid December and I still am working on getting the correct cables. So more than likely they sent you what they had ready to go.
