I suggest anyone to put a 2x4 under the kick stand to make the bike level before doing this. You drain more oil and it doesn't gush out of the oil filter and get all over the engine and exhaust like it did in this vid.

This applies to all Honda 250 and 300 motors in the last 10 years or so as the design has not changed. The only real difference between the 250 and the 300 is the stroke length as the cylinder is taller, the bore has not changed. Of course, transmission gearing may be different depending on the actual bike, example, the gearing on the CRF300L will be different than on the CBR300R, which may be different from the Rebel 300. (Don't know for sure...haven't checked the specs on the CBR vs. Rebel)

The manual calls for 10w30, but in your video your using 10w40.

The first part number for the oil filter itself starts as 15410-KYJ not 5410-kYJ . No insult meant, just stating the facts.

Does anyone know the aftermarket part numbers. CMX300 isn’t listed on most auto parts store databases yet.

3:40..Instead of trying to hold the gasket in place at its mounting point, grab the oil filter...cover, put in two of the bolts through opposite end holes...and then put the gasket through/onto two of the bolts, THEN put that back on the bike. :D. There ya go. Situation...simplified. :) Either way, thanks for the vid. FCheers
