So what was the original problem?
Thank you for the video. Could you please tell me where did you get the replacement fan from. I have a Kodiak 450 EPS 4x4, checked Partzilla but couldn't locate the fan.

If I'm not mistaken it sounds like your son's 450 has an aftermarket exhaust tip? or pipe on it? Which one does it have? I also have a 450 and was wondering if you had any suggestions on a aftermarket exhaust tip? Also when just installing the tip do you have to put a fuel controller on or is that just something you need when changing the entire exhaust? When putting on an aftermarket exhaust tip is it just a simple as taking the stock one off and bolting the aftermarket one on and go ride?
Sorry for the delayed response You are correct it’s just a 2R Racing tip if I remember correctly and no need to disconnect anything . Just make sure you run the bike for a bit before install or the bolts may snap when taking them out . Hope this helps

Im 6'1 210lbs and I want one of those 250ex's LOL.
That's what I hate about all these quads with the plastics all around them you can even get at the spark plugs anymore without taking half the bike apart. Definite would have pulled the plug before starting And after finding water in the oil I would have got my buddy to tow me out.

Bad fuel pump according to Yamaha. Fixed at no charge 👍 Thanks for watching and asking .
I had the fuel pump quit on my 2021 in Armour grey at 6 months old.
I have ‘19 700 SE, and it’s ran great for me. My opinion is I wouldn’t purchase any Covid year machines ever. The shutdowns and supply chain issues imo affected the manufacturing processing of components and finished products. Labor shortages made rush jobs. I think all factories suffered for this, and is a result of who was elected and politics destroying confidence in these great products.

If you where in water theres a gas vent line by the rear diff and the valve becomes deffective with dirt and it will suck water into your gas tank and stall the bike..relocate the vent line to front of the bike as well as steam coming off the engine will stall the bike get snorkels

Is it dying when it's in water every time? I've seen people mention the fuel vent line being low and can suck in water to the fuel tank
Ha ha ha It sure seems that way from the video for sure and thanks for the vent line suggestion I brought that to the dealers attention but said it was not causing the issue . Plus it has happened multiple times on dry trails . It’s odd I will keep you posted . Thanks for checking out the channel 👍

I don’t need my truck to drive itself or back up my trailer and I don’t need power steering on my ATV Sad part is no one builds basic reliable stuff anymore it seems Thanks for checking out the channel 👍

Hey man, nice little video, good job teaching your little man about combustion, teach them young so they hopefully grow up smarter than us haha I'm a Grizzly guy, I've owned two, thats a really weird issue, if I had to guess it would be an electrical issue, possibly even something as easy as a bad ground. you mentioned it shut off twice, was both times when you were in water? the new machines are nice, powerful and comfortable but there is way more stuff that can go wrong haha I hope yahs get it fixed and back on the trail !
Hey man thanks for taking the time to comment and check out the channel . You are absolutely correct there is way too much technology and garbage on these machines that none of us need the grizzlies are super fun and powerful which is why I bought one. I talked with Mike over at the dealership today he said they are in communications with Yamaha looking into exactly what you said I also reminded him that the servo motor kicks in when I just turn the key before starting he said there is a recall on that as well and it may be something as simple as a loose ground in the handlebar controls. I will definitely keep everybody posted and agree it’s a very weird issue for a Yamaha

Should have pulled the plug and turned the engine a bit hard to compress water if it’s in the cylinder got lucky you didn’t break nothing but all good and great a video you handled it a lot better than I did I was in panic mode and was paranoid about it for weeks after the fact keep the great videos coming !!
